Quidco/Car Hire 3000 - a quick update!

For those that have been looking to book car hire .... a word of warning!

As a Quidco customer with a grand total of £1.24 on my account, I decided to cancel my booking with usrentacar and rebook via Quidco with a 7% discount. Paid in full and although the cashback was validated it has now been declined ..... no idea why, never used carhire3000 before (one of the terms applied), or used any additional voucher codes so really dont know why this has been refused

I've got a really nice chap at the Carhire3000 call centre looking into this to see if he can apply the discount but if the answers no I shall cancel my booking and stick to who I know best (usrentacar)

Have you questioned it with Quidco?
I still haven't got around to booking, Netflights have just dropped rates again so I might go with them now although £50 cancellation fee is not good.
I have never been so indecisive about car rental, I think its because last 2 have been such good rates ontop of dropping rates over past month, I don't want to commit to a price.

Apparently it was because I went via travelsupermarket which is why I had the cashback declined. Now bearing in mind I've never used this site that's utter rubbish so on principle I've cancelled the booking.

Will need to book again but I'd rather pay the same amount of money or thereabouts to a company I know I can trust and have used before (usrentacar) than a company I have no confidence in whatsoever.

I would have no chance then, I spend as much time on TravelSupermarket as I do here.
I will go with Netflights as it stands now, unless a better deal comes up, used them about 15 times no problems.

Same here. Transaction was tracked as an initial £11 and then £40 approx.
As always I make sure that all other windows/tabs are closed when I go through Quidco

That's a good point actually ......... Don't think I've ever used travelsuprrmarkrt but then I search a lot so I may have stumbled upon it by chance and left the window open in one of the background tabs ........ Still lesson learnt .... I've cancelled the booking now, no way I'm giving travel supermarket 7% for doing F all ........ I'd rather give it to Wayne
