Ok folks...I have not been to the World since Dec 05. I cannot wait to get on Soarin again and would like to know the quickest way to get there.
Also, do they start the ride at 9 am or 10am. I can't remember if it opens before the rest of Epcot.
Thanks!
Countin' down the days!!!

Be there at rope drop and head staight through Innoventions West to the Land pavillion.

LOL - I remember being a little crazed getting there, since we were coming from the IG. My mom refused to run :rotfl2: and they ignored my command of not taking the escalator (something about the kids wanting to use it - whatever ;)). We therefore had an almost 15 minute wait, which I, of course, blamed them for repeatedly. :rotfl:

We took the escaltor, too. I was so mad! How on earth do you get there without the escalator? Remember, we have not been there in almost 4 years.
I know the MK like the back of my hand, but not Epcot.

The Land has two escalators and two sets of stairs right next to each escalator. I don't recall which side goes which way off the top of my head, but one goes up and the other goes down. There are also two ways to walk around the entry level of the Land (You have to go down to get to Soarin.)
In some cases, if the area is crowded enough with slow walkers - it may even be faster to take the long way around. Strollers are not allowed indoors, and although scooters are allowed, many scooter folks may choose to leave theirs outside with the strollers. So the throng of folks walking around the left side of the Land are not always moving very quickly. The right side walkway is virtually empty that time of day, so in some cases it may be faster.

AS was also pointed out, which way you go depends which entrance you enter through. (Front or IG).

Go around Spaceship Earth to the right. Continue right to the breezeway. Go straight ahead to The Land. Take the left ramp, down escalator on right, Soarin' to the right. Ride is straight ahead and FP machines are to the right. Have a great time.:yay:

Get there before the rope drop, then head left where the mass crowd is going. As OP states go down the stairs there you will be on Sorin. Your wait should be 15 min or so with the mob of crowds it seems like you could wait for hours but you will not. After your ride collect a fast pass to go on it again. Just a fair warning it can get ugly with rude people when you are doing this, I find it is best to ignore them and move on to your ride.

Another tip regarding fast passes for Soarin' or any ride for that matter, especially first thing in the morning, is to be careful who you line up behind in the fast pass line. I lined up behind a person from a tour group, he proceeded to put dozens of tickets through the fast pass machine. After 5-10 minutes I finally switched lines only to get stuck behind another tour leader with 50 tickets. It was very frustrating and I ended up with a much later time. Watch for people with hip sacks and tiny flags.:headache:

At rope drop, CMs direct you to the right once you are in the Land building. You are not allowed to go to the left. I saw virtually no difference in the amount of time it took to use the stairs vs. the escalator.

This is true - my daughter works there and its called The Swirl (to them anyway). Unless you have a wheelchair in your party or a need to use the elevator you will be directed to the right and will use that escalator and stairs to go down. You will be following either CMs or masses of humanity. Even if you get ahead of the CMs it won't help as they are all the CMs that run the ride so you would be held up at the front of queue until they are in position.

hi, if one wanted to go to the seas first thing at rope drop (rather than test track or soarin) would you still have to line up with the folks heading to "soarin" and cut thru innoventions? from the map if looks like if you went thru innoventions, you'd have to back track to get to the seas. is there another path to the seas where you don't have to go thru innoventions? also, do you have to go thru innovations on the other side to get to ellen, or is there another route? tia

Fast pass machines are running at opening.

A row of CMs will lead the heard to avoid the running. Once inside the building it doesn't matter much about stairs of escalator. We took the escalator last Thursday and waited maybe 5-7 minutes.

Thanks everyone! Our DD-23 has not been on this ride yet and I want to make sure we don't have a long wait.
