I've called MS a couple of times since recently becoming a DVC member. I made reservations for something only a couple of weeks out, so it didn't matter this time, but I'm looking forward to my next reservation that I plan to make exactly at my 7 month mark and want to be able to get to MS quickest at 9:00 am.

My question is how to get to MS using the menu options quickest? When I go through options 1, 1, I have to listen to at least 60 seconds of prompting regarding new insurance available and wanting to take part of a user survey. Are there any menu options that get me to MS quicker without having to listen to this? Any experience that you could share would be appreciated. thx

Heading home to SSR for the first time in only 20 days now!

Set up a speed dial number for MS on your phone.

Call at least a minute before 9 am.

That doesn't work (I've tried it many times). They don't "turn on" the phones until 9:00. If you call at 8:59 you will not even be given the option to press 1. You will get a recording that says they are closed.

Keep in mind that everyone else has to listen to the same spiel about insurance. If I'm trying to book a hard-to-get room, I'll tell the CM that upfront.

So I'm assumning that there is no way to bypass the recorded messages? Even with speed dial, it will take over a minute to get to MS.

No, but hopefully it will not take you over a minute. When it comes to calling MS we're all in same :boat: and we feel your pain :flower3: !!!! Can you call simultaneously from cell phone & land line ? ya never know maybe you'll get through on one quicker than the other

Good luck & hope you'll post back how things work out :goodvibes

I think calling at 8:59 allows for a difference between how my clock is set and how theirs is set. My guess is that my clock and theirs don't hit 9:00 at exactly the same instant.

Call right at 9 and you will be fine. There are multiple CM's working so at 9 you will most likely be the CM that gets your calls first member of the day to help. Good luck and enjoy your upcoming visit to SSR
