What is the fastest way to go from Magic Kingdom to Epcot on a Friday evening around 5:30-6:00?

Bus?
Monorail?
Boat?

Any idea how long that trip will take?

Trying to decide if it's worth going to MK for a couple of hours after arriving in Orlando and still get to Epcot for dinner at 6:30...

No buses or boats from the MK to EPCOT.

I believe you could also walk to the Contemporary Hotel and take the bus to Epcot.

Or, even better, ride the bus to the Boardwalk Hotel (from MK to Boardwalk) and then you can walk from Boardwalk to World showcase, you won't have to walk through Future World. That is if your dinner ressies are in the World showcase. I think the trip would take about an hour including walking from bus through hotel and onto Epcot.

Or how about a cab at the transportation station?

Good luck and enjoy the journey!:cool1:

There is no bus to EPCOT from the Contemporary.

Your only choices are monorail to TTC and transfer to the EPCOT monorail, walk to the CR and get a taxi or monorail to TTC and get a taxi from there.

There is one other option:

Bus or boat to WL and then bus to EPCOT

Oh bummer no bus from Contemporary? Good to know! I still like the idea of going to the Boardwalk and walking to World Showcase, but WL boat is a good idea!;)

Actually the Beach Club is the closest resort to the Epcot International Gateway. The Boardwalk is closer to the Studios.

It's about an 8-10 min walk to the International Gateway from the bus area at BC, and about 10-15 mins from BW.
To DHS, BW is about 8 mins closer.

If it were me, it would depend on where you want to be in Epcot. IF you want to be towards the front, then I would take the Express Monorail to the TTC and then switch to the Epcot line...allow at least 45 mins total for that.
If you need to be in the WS area, I would just take a bus to either BW or BC from MK and then walk over to the Gateway from there...allow about 40 mins for that as well.
