Hello.
I was just wondering what the quickest way from Wilderness Lodge to Epcot would be that does not include driving?:confused3

Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks.

We just returned from our stay at WL.

We found it was quickest to take the red flag boat to MK. Then take the ferry to the transportation center and get on the monorail to Epcot. We found the buses to be slow, the monorail to be slowest and the boats to be the most efficient way to travel when possible.

The bus is the fastest way. The boat to CR, then monorail (must transfer at TTC) is slow.

The bus is definitely quickest. The boat-monorail method will take at least an hour. The bus stops at FW, but the whole trip should be no more than 20 minutes.

It's really a shame that you can't walk from WL to the TTC. It would be nice to just walk over and catch the Epcot monorail from there. But between the wildlife and no sidewalks, there's no way to do it now (at least, not if you value your life).

Really, the fastest would be a taxi from WL to BC, and then walk into International Gateway. But that is an expensive option when you have complimentary Disney transport available. But if you have a dining reservation, and your time is short, that would be the quickest method.

After that, the bus is the most direct and fastest form of Disney transport.

If you take any other combination of transportation, you're probably looking at about an hour. There are several combinations you can use: boat to either MK or CR, monorail to TTC from CR or MK, bus from MK to BC and walk to Epcot, etc. But you have to allow a maximum of 20 minutes wait time each time you have to make a connection. That's why the bus is faster.

This is the slowest way to get to Epcot but the original poster asked how to get to Epcot without driving, if this is what they meant. Bus is the fastest way.

If you don't want to drive yourself, then take the bus.:moped:

If you are going to go the taxi route and are just trying to get to Epcot to enjoy the whole park, it would be faster just to take the taxi to the Epcot front gate. Only if you are trying to get to the countries at WS which are closest to the IG (England, France, Morocco, Japan) will walking from the BC be shorter or quicker than walking from the Epcot front gate.

I woul dguess that if you are talking only about the countries near the IG, then the walking distantce fro either BC or BWK (aboutt he same) would be somewhat faster. If you are talking about Cananda or Mexico the main gate might be closer, but it depends where the taxi drops you off. The bus stops are a little walk from main gate.

I can also tell you that we were over by Test Track once at closing: one group walked to buses area; the other group walked to far side of the BWK. The group going to the bus stop won by a margin.

Do try google earth for a satelite image though.

One other possibility would be to take the very short taxi ride to the TTC and then hop the Epcot monorail. If you hit it just right, you could even beat a taxi to the front of Epcot and especially a taxi to the BC.

But I would take the bus if I didn't want to drive.

'Course, personally I'd drive.

We did this in April. We waited a long time for an Epoct bus and finally gave up. We ended up hopping on a Magic Kingdom bus and then taking a bus from the MK to the Beach Club.

To us, this route seemed the faster than the Epcot bus. HOWEVER, we were headed to dinner at Le Cellier which is on the WS side of Epcot.

I don't mean this to sound mean or sarcastic ... :) ... but I can hardly think of a slower way to get from WL to Epcot.

This scheme involves waiting for 3 separate modes of transportation. The wait for any piece of transportation can often be longer than the actual transport itself. You are suggesting waiting for a boat, then waiting for the ferry, then waiting for the monorail. That just sounds dreadfully slow to me. If your luck goes badly, you could end up waiting up to 20 minutes for each one (if everything goes wrong), meaning you'd spend one hour doing all the waiting, PLUS the time of actual transit for each one.

I totally agree with this. We got in a pinch in April when MK was doing the grad nights. Long story short, we monorailed to TTC from Epcot and the monorail to MK was closed because of grad nights. So we got special transport (a small van/bus, not sure exactly what it was) from TTC to WL and we could NOT BELIEVE how close WL is to TTC. It literally took about 30 seconds to drive. Such a shame there is not some sort of walking path paved out, but then of course that would raise the WL room prices quite a lot probably.....

Anyway, back to the OP's original question, not sure if you consider a bus to be "driving" or if you mean yourself having to drive a car, but the quickest way would be to take a bus or taxi, as others above have posted. If you are hoping to avoid a bus or taxi, then as someone else suggested, take the boat to MK and then hop on the monorail. It will indeed take longer, but if you perhaps have a large stroller (or whatever your case may be....), then I totally understand wanting to take boats or monorail.
