Quickest way - Poly to AKL?

We will be having dinner at Ohanas, and are considering staying there for the electric light parade and Wishes, rather than heading to MK where the crowds will be huge (mid-April). Can anyone advise me as to the quickest way to get back to the AKL after Wishes from the Poly? Would this be a more simple, and quicker option to going from the MK? Thanks for your help!!

I would take either the boat launch or the monorail from the Polynesian to the Magic Kingdom (this will take only a few minutes), and then catch the bus from the Magic Kingdom to Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I love the launch from the Poly to the MK- it's a relaxing little trip!
