Is there a better way out of EPCOT after Illuminations than going from the Rose and Crown all the way to the front exit? Could I park at the Boardwalk and then go out the back exit? Any ideas? It will be the night after Thanksgiving so it will be packed!

You're not supposed to park at the Boardwalk if you're just going to Epcot. Parking there is for resort guests and those patronizing the restaurants and shops at the Boardwalk.

What the wife and I usually do, is since the busses are usually crowded, we like to go out throuth international gateway, then take a bus frm yach or beach club to downtown disney, from there, take boat(we ususally stay at POFQ) of course, it takes longer(since bus and then boat) but you usually get to sit, and its relaxing(plus you can stop at a shop at downtown disney for a nice snack or something) :)

That's quite a journey!

unlsee you are staying at an epcot resort, there is no quick way out of epcot, except to beat the crowd to the exit.

You could park at the Boardwalk, but you aren't supposed to. And all told, it probably won't be any faster than just leaving the Epcot front entrance.

It'll probably take you 30 minutes to get to your car if you're leaving the Rose & Crown after Illuminations and walking to the Boardwalk's self-parking. You'll have to fight your way upstream to get to the International Gateway and it is another 15-20 minutes from there to get to the car. And the walk won't be any shorter. There is a boat, but it isn't much quicker than walking.

Unless I'm staying at Beach Club / Boardwalk and walked into Epcot, I just park in the Epcot lot.

DH and I have been at Epcot at closing literally dozens of times, and there is no quick way out. :sunny: The best thing to do is to plan to stay 30 minutes to an hour after the park closes (best way to do this: have a late ADR!) and leave AFTER the rest of the crowd leaves. It's a really fun way to see Epcot, too! We love walking through the park late at night when it's practically empty. :cloud9:

The other option is to stay at a resort on the Boardwalk, so you can just walk to your hotel. This is our favorite reason for staying at the Dolphin!

If you are already at the Rose & Crown just have one last pint and relax for 20-30 minutes until the crowd thins out- then have a stroll to the exit. ;)
