Quickest way from International Gateway to DHS?

I usually walk from World Showcase to DHS via the International Gateway because the boats take so darn long (or seem to).
This year I may not be up for that sprint on my travel day.
What is the boat route?
Epcot, Boardwalk, Beach/Yacht Club, Swan/Dolphin, DHS?
It that right?
Would it be quickest to walk to Beach/Yacht Club and try to catch it there?
Is there no quick way at all, other than just walking it myself?

Yes, that is correct.

Would it be quickest to walk to Beach/Yacht Club and try to catch it there?
Is there no quick way at all, other than just walking it myself?

If you just missed the boat and can see it in the canal, then yes, walk over to the BC/YC dock to shave about 15 minutes off the trip. Otherwise, the quickest way would be to just wait for the next boat.

We usually walk, too, but the boat ride sure feels good when you are tired, LOL.

As you already know, walking is almost always faster. But, if you choose not to walk, here's what I would do. If the boat is just leaving, I would walk to the YC/BC. If you see the boat in the canal, headed to BW, I would just walk to the S/D. You should be able to walk to the S/D in less time than it takes the boat to get there from BW. If the boat is either loading still, or just coming in to dock, then take the boat.

It's about a 1.5 miles walking from IG to DHS (according to Google Earth) with the Swolphin about midway. As you walk pass the dock at YC, which again is about midway between IG and S/D, decide to either go for S/D if weather and stamina allows or wait at YC.

BTW - Whenever I walk from IG, if I'm not headed to BW, I usually take the lower path on the left following the canal. It doesn't go uphill to the bridge and seems cooler since it's shaded by the bridge.
