Quickest way from AK to MK?

I'm going to a conference in Orlando next week, accompanied by 3 other coworkers. One of them has an annual pass (like me). He and I were thinking of buzzing over to AK to try Expedition Everest and then meeting the rest of our party at MK afterward. We can get out of the conference around 2:30 and the rest of the party won't be at MK until after 4:00 (we don't need to be there at 4:00 when they are, we can arrive later). We were thinking of taking the bus from AK to the AKL and then getting a bus from there to MK. Any other suggestions?

Using Disney transportation, the bus is the only way. Park to park busses will let you off at the TTC, so you'll have to take the monorail or ferryboat the rest of the way.

Your other option is a bus or taxi to one of the monorail resorts and walk in or take the monorail from there.

ITA that this is the fastest! It's a 2-minute (maybe less) walk from the bus stop at the Contemporary to MK. Just follow the red-brick road...................

ITA that this is the fastest! It's a 2-minute (maybe less) walk from the bus stop at the Contemporary to MK. Just follow the red-brick road...................

A third vote for the bus to the CR and then the walkway to MK...about 8 mins. It's longer than 2 mins, but 8 certainly isn't bad...and yes, I've timed it. Dh says I'm nuts.

No you are not nuts. DH times waits for bus to given location and transit time between resort - park or park-resort.

Why take a bus from AK to AKL then to MK? Why not just take a bus from AK to MK?

park to park buses for the MK are at the TTC. so taking the AK-MK bus means actually ending up at the TTC, then walking to the monorail or ferry.
