Are you able to arrive much earlier (say about 1 hour prior to the time listed on the fastpass)

I only ask because it says "early arrivals will not be accommodated" or something like that on the fastpass

Thanks

Yes, people start lining up about an hour and a half ahead of time. We went in the summer, and go there about 7:30--and there was already a line with a few CM's policing it. They set up ropes and everything.

There is a meeting area for each color zone, where you line up. This is outside paradise park. Paradise park is emptied before each show and then they let the color groups in. This is why you are not allowed in early.

I see... so there is an actual queue line for those that arrive early?
I just don't want to arrive 1 hour early and have someone that got there... let's say 5 minutes early (according to the fastpass time) and have them walk right in front of us or anything...

In a sense they can. You are in, say the yellow group, about 15 minutes before the return time, they open a 3 foot wide gap into the yellow viewing area and people flood into the yellow section of Paradise Park through the 3 foot hole.

Before that people can move around within "the holding area". But once that hole opens into the park people are claiming spots to actually view the show. So the key is to get through the hole and get a good spot. Which unlike RDCT or F! can't be done 3 hours early.

I see... thanks for the tip...
So I guess the best thing to do is be in front of that "holding area"

If you arrive too early the CMs seem to be under some kind of instructions to not tell you where to go.

I recommend you find out about where you should go and then be in that area and as soon as the CMs set up a line jump in it. The first show has the lines start in the area of the red tower- except for red FPs which line up over near Golden Zephyr. The second show - if they have one - has lines which start in different places as listed on the FP.
