I am so glad I saw this question , we were just debating this ourselves. Our choice is 3months or 9 months. I was thinking 9 months would be tougher. I do have a 15 yr old daughter that would be helpful. what do you all think?

Madison went last May a week before turning 3 months, then again 2 or 3 weeks later at about 3.5 months (in June), then to DL in late August at 6 months, and back to WDW at 9 months in early December. I do think that of the 2 choices, 3 months might be easier for you in some ways, but really it wasn't a huge difference. At 3 months she was exclusively breastfed so that meant no bottles, but also no jars of baby food, bibs, spoons, cups, etc. which was very nice. At 9 months Madison wasn't drinking out of straws yet, so if she wanted water I had to help her use a regular cup or carry around sippys. We also had to bring jars of food into the parks everyday (we rarely went back to the room so we had to bring the day's supply each morning, which was 2 jars for her). I got a little carrying case which made it easier, it was hard plastic and held 2 jars of baby food, a spoon, disposable bib, and also doubled as a dish (though I fed from the jar so I didn't use that feature). That was something extra, but not a huge deal.
The thing that makes 9 months better is that by that age she LOVED the characters (smiled, laughed, and jumped up and down everytime she saw one) and she also was able to enjoy the rides. The tough part was that she was crawling and almost walking then she there were times that she wanted to be out of the stroller, but for the most part she didn't care much since there was so much to see.
Honestly, either age isn't bad so IMO I'd look at other things, like weather (I would rather go when it's cooler with a baby), crowds, and prices and make my decision based on those factors since in terms of convenience it won't matter much. Plus, as you said, you have a 15yo to help you so I think you'll be fine either way.

We took Madison on every ride that didn't have a height restriction.
MK-Everything in Fantasyland, Adventureland, Liberty Square (1st time Madison laughed was in the Hall of Presidents!), Country Bear Jamboree, Buzz, Carousel of Progress, Railroad, and I think that was it.
Epcot-Living with the Land, Maelstrom, Rio del Tiempo, Spaceship Earth, Universe of Energy, Living Seas/Turtle Talk with Crush (wasn't there at 3 months, but we took her there at 13 months and I would have done it at 3 months too)
MGM-Playhouse Disney, Beauty and the Beast, Fantasmic, Indiana Jones, Great Movie Ride, Backlot Tour, Millionaire, Muppet 3D

You have to carry them in. They don't allow strollers in lines or inside attractions (at least none that I can think of). At 3 months, my daughter stayed in the Baby Bjorn pretty much all day after the 1st couple of hours. It was so much easier to just keep her in the Bjorn than take her in and out of the stroller. Plus she stayed cooler in the Bjorn than in her stroller actually so it worked out well.

I am nervous that he may not sleep well and keep us all up at night. But hey ... nothing ventured .... then no trip to WDW
Of course he will not remember it ... but we go about every 6 months. My daughter is just fascinated by everything and now she is of the height that she can go on a number of rides .... she would get depressed on previous trips and is fired up to go on Thunder Mtn. and the like.
Truth be known... I feel it will be just fine to take babies. Only thing is that you will have to adjust your expectation of how mobile you can be. Then again if you have a baby that sleeps in the stroller then it will be easy in the day.

Starrin- that is when we are going! I just hope it isn't 100 degrees out- he doesn't love his carseat so I am going to be walking him alot in the Bjorn carrier. Does anyone know if the baby swap works if you have 3 adults and 1 baby? I'm so glad that people have responded to this thread and that it is helping others.

Tracey, Madison hated her carseat too so we were very big supporters of the Baby Bjorn for a long time!
My tip though, for the parks, would be to leave the carseat in the hotel and take the stroller itself (assuming you have a travel system, not just one of those carseat frame-type strollers). It's one less thing to carry and I found that in Madison's case anyway that she preferred being in the stroller itself, rather than her carseat in the stroller. He'll be 3 months old so even if it doesn't fully recline, as long as it goes pretty far back he'll be fine in it.
I still found the Bjorn easier though, cause like I said, you can't take the stroller in line or in rides/shows with you, so if they're asleep in the stroller you're stuck. When Madison slept in the Bjorn though I was free to go on any rides she was able to go on.

Starrin, when my daughter was in the Baby Bjorn, there was never any sun on any part of her body and I'll tell you how we did that.
First of all, we got her a sunhat that had a little visor in the front and flap in the back to cover her ears/neck. We got this at Target in the baby department(though I will add our trip was in May, so I bought it when the summer stuff was just coming out, might be a little tougher to find now, but check online if you can't find it in a store, I think it's made by i play).
Then, using a tip I got here on the boards, I bought a pack of very, very thin, light- colored receiving blankets. They say 'flannel', but they're not like a warm wintery flannel, they're very light and thin. They're white on one side and have a pastel print on the other side. I also got these at Target baby department.
So when we got there, I would sunblock my daughter all over her whole body (her ped. said sunblock was fine to use on babies under 6 months, but you can check with your own dr on that). Then I'd put on her hat and stick her in the Bjorn, locking the 2 side clips that are around their torso but leaving the 2 top clips open. Then with the back support panel folded down and facing out, I'd lay one of the receiving blankets on top of it, colored side facing the Bjorn. Then I'd put the back support panel back up and lock it into place on top.
Now the receving blanket is draped from inside the Bjorn, over the top, and hanging down the back of it. Adjust the length to cover all the way to the bottom of your baby's toes and he should be completely shielded from the sun! If by chance the blanket won't reach to his toes, then instead of folding it over the back of the Bjorn, you could safety pin it to the outside of the Bjorn so that it will definitely cover all of him. The blankets were wide enough to completely cover her arms on the sides too. I almost always kept her facing in cause she'd fall asleep so much that it was just easier than turning her around, plus her face was never in the sun that way either cause if the sun was behind me, my body would create a shadow over her face. Plus the visor on her hat blocked sun from the top down.
I know it's hard to explain, and if I can find a photo of Madison in her Bjorn with the blanket on her I'll post it.

Good idea about the carseat- maybe Christopher will like it better just in the stroller. Don't you wish they made the Bjorn in a lighter color? Ours in black! I have a sunhat for him and have the light flannel blankets. I'd love to see your Madison hanging out in WDW in her carrier so I can get a better picture.

I am going in Oct sans DH with my 4 kids, he may be a bit upset - but in the long run we will all be happier. He was just a miserable pip when we went in May. He can relax around the house for a week, and we can go to Disney and have a blast w/o the master complainer. If you will enjoy it, and dh does not mind - go for it.
As for the Baby Bjorn carrier - I swear by them! With my first I didn't have the $$ for the BB and ended up with a bunch of uncomfortable substitutes. My first ds was more often than not in the stroller when we went places. With my next three I made sure that was the one thing I asked for - and boy did we use it! Neither of my next two babies were ever even in a stroller untill they were about a year. We even took our second son who was about 2 weeks to Laconia for Bike Week (no motorcycle of course) He just slept and nursed and was carried around constantly - happy as could be. LOve the Baby Bjorn!
As for the sunblock issue - there are a few sunblocks that are better for little ones - I think Baby Magic sunblock was ok from what I remember. What you want is a barrier cream type sunblock not a chemical screen sunblock. If you surf the net you will find several sunblocks that are ok for wee ones - expensive - bUT better than a sunburn!

They do, they're just hard to find. Here's the link to it, I think it's a new style and it's made with a mesh type fabric that's suppose to be cooler as well. I'm going to order one this week.

Tracy, I've never had a BabyBjorn before. I had a cheaper one when DS was a baby & hated it and just figured they were all the same. I've borrowed a friend's recently (it's black) and Mary Grace likes it so we've finally decided to make the investment. I just ordered it, I'll let y'all know how I like it when it comes.

Okay, I'm being very, very generous here cause they're some pretty bad photos of me, but for the sake of not sunburning your babies I'm willing to show them to you! My husband has yet to take a good photo of me so I'm not all that surprised by the outcome-he has this thing with not telling people when he's going to take a photo, just snaps at random. I'll try to find some better ones of Madison's face with the hat on so you can see how she was shaded. Her hat is that little purple thing in my hand. It was really thin and light and has an elastic around the head to keep it on them, and at 3 months they don't even try to pull it off! I'm sure you can figure out which one is Madison in the Bjorn
