quick way to cancel ADR

I have a feeling we won't be able to keep some of our ADRs due to the unpredictability of having young kids. Is there a quick way to cancel one without having to call the ADR number?

Also, on the DDP if you cancel a TS ADR because you can't make it there and decided to get a quick serve meal where ever you happen to be, does that mean the credit for the TS meal will cover the QS meal?

I keep the phone # for WDW Dine on my cell phone, just incase we cannot keep an ADR. It's always wise to call and cancel in enough time for them to open the ressie up to another guest. I like to give at least 2-3 hr. cancel notice.

If you are on the DDP: a TS credit can be used for TS only...and a QS credit an be used for counter service only! The only exception, would be on the deluxe dining...where you are given 3 credits per day, per person, which can be used as TS or QS credits.

That stinks....I thought that at the very least a TS credit can be applied to a QS meal.

Do the credits transfer from day to day? If I use two QS credits one day can I use two TS credits the following day?

You get a set number of TS and a set number of QS credits for your trip (one for each night). You could use nothing but TS the first few days, and then use nothing but CS the last few days - it is totally up to you how and when you use them.

As for your first question, the response was right that you typically cannot use a TS credit at a CS restaurant. However, apparently in the past couple of years during free dining, Disney has allowed you do to that due to the difficulty people were having getting ADRs for their TS credits. It was not announced until just before free dining started, but keep your eyes open becuase you may be able to swap the TS and CS credits out if the recent past is any indicator.

You can use as many credits in one day as you like. For example if you are at WDW for 5 nights, you will have 5 TS, 5 QS and 5 snack credit. If you want to use 2 TS on day one and 2 QS on day 2, it's all ok. But remember, once the credits are gone, no matter how many days you have left, you will have to pay OOP.

I did remember, during free dining, last year, they allowed people to trade in TS for QS credits, but never tried it...and who knows if they will allow that now or during free dining.

If you are in the parks or at your resort, you can go to your resort concierge or Guest Services and have them cancel the reservation.
