"Quick" Way From Hojo's

No, it's protected. There is a crosswalk there. :)

With a light? I've read, in the past, several times that it is a scary place to cross AND can take a long time.

Then again, the street you cross from Anabella is the same way! Man is that wait long and man is that light SHORT.

Thanks very much for the step-by-step instructions. We will be staying at Hojo next month, so even though I read Bumbershoot's report when she first posted it, I knew I had to go back and refresh the information in my mind about the walk. Now I'm ready to go.

:rotfl: I liked "knot of humanity" too, but I liked the Disney aromatherapy better:
Being stuck behind people once inside the gates is annoying but expected, and you have all the aromatherapy of Disney to help you through. :) . :)

Molly, I gotta say I just love your writing. You are so helpful and nice, and you always crack me up! :goodvibes

In the evening do you all go back to HOJO the same route --the more unpopulated Disney side of Harbour? :confused3 Does it feel safe?

You are too dang sweet! Thank you.

I haven't walked *back* alone, but I walked towards DL at twilight, and it was fine. My eyes and memory deceived me last year (it's approaching a year since our first big trip, WAAAAAH), and the way is NOT covered in bushes. It's just as out in the open as over on the other side. And if for some horrible reason there were some creepazoid, yells would definitely be heard from the hotel side, and there are constantly cars going along.

At the beginning of the walk back, there is a big bus stop, and there's almost always a Disney employee or 3, waiting to go home. And really, everyone along there is either an employee of some local place or a tourist; there's sort of no other reason to be around there, or so I've noticed.

(I would normally mention that I've seen two homeless people sleeping on the bus stop benches, but that has been over near Anabella and on the hotel side of Harbor, if memory serves, and those people are just trying to get comfy for their long nights, in the something like 18 days I've spent at DLR this last 365 days (OK now that sounds short, not long, like it did before I wrote 365), er, 366 b/c it was a leap year, I haven't seen them even speaking to anyone, just settling in or waking up in the morning.)
