Quick update on my mom's surgery and dad's MRI...

Well, my mom had her surgery on her esophagus on Monday. The stomach/esophagus connection was worse than they thought at first, but they were able to repair it without problem. She has been on only liquids since, but has had no reflux/heartburn, so hopefully no more esophageal lesions! (She has lost 15 pounds since Monday, too. )

Dad couldn't do his MRI (to check for Parkinson's) as he was too claustaphobic! He is supposed to go back and have it done under sedation, but he doesn't have a date for that yet.

Garrett will be having his First COmmunion on Saturday, so I gotta figure out a menu, etc.!!

Wow! you have had your hands full, but knowing you, you handled (and will handle) everything in stride! Hope all goes well for your Dad and glad things are getting better with your Mom. Thinking of Garrett making his First Communion makes me smile. Hope you post pics!!

I'm so glad that your mother's surgery was successful. Those MRIs can certainly aggravate claustrophobia I hope the sedation makes it easier for your dad.
