A friend and I are taking a quick trip Oct 12-14 staying at All Star Sports and not going to any parks. We were thinking of doing a "monorail bar crawl", hanging by the pool and checking out Disney Springs/Downtown Disney. I have never been without children, so I don't know what the best bars and restaurants are, what drinks to try, things that are free to see. Is the boardwalk area worth investigating as well? I am thinking doing the monorail thing in the evening and watching the Halloween fireworks..Any tips or tricks? We are using only Disney transpo.

Jellyrolls is a great way to spend an evening. If you don't know, this is an all-request, 21+ dueling piano bar that has some extremely talented piano players. There is a $12 cover charge but I think it's worth if for the entertainment as I go every trip!

Boardwalk is a must do! Go during the evening, and definitely hit up Jellyrolls! So much fun!!!

From your description, you might want to seriously reconsider the no parks. You are there during food and wine in epcot and it sounds like it might be perfect for your foodie/pub crawl side.
