Just booked airfare for a quick/last minute trip Feb. 3rd to Feb 8th

I'm looking for a nice hotel, clean with a good pool for about $125 a night.
Any ideas????????

You should make reservations at Disney's All-Star Movies. You could get into any of the Disney Value Resorts for that price.

We checked, the Disney Values are booked. :(

I presume you are going to Disney based on what I see in your signature.

I found an Extended Stay hotel on Palm Parkway. Palm Parkway is about 2 miles (or less) from Disney property. The rate for your stay is $120 per night for 2 adults. I checked the rate for four adults and it is $130 a night. The property has a free continental breakfast and complimentary transportation to Disney property. The rooms have a full kitchen in case you want to make your own meals. The only downfall is that Extended Stays do not have daily room service. You get 1 room service a week if you are staying weekly or monthly. Thus, you will have to make your own bed and pick up after yourself. You can always exchange dirty towels with fresh ones at the front desk.

I've read posts where people have gotten this property on Hotwire for $30-$40 a night.

Lots of people on these boards enjoy Cypress Point and I noticed they had availability for less than $90 on hotelkindom.com for your dates. I usually recommend booking Comfort Suites Main Gate East through hotelmartusa.com but the last two days of your stay are not available through them.
Good Luck!

why not go on the DVC rental boards. You aren't there on a Friday or Saturday night so I bet you can get a studio for that at one of the Luxury Disney resorts.

Try the Country Inn and Suites called Maingate at Calypso. Nice themed pool with fountains and a slide.

I would certainly hope they could get a value for $125. per night...at that price they should be getting at a moderate!

You do realize, I hope, that the Disney Value hotels are not on par with the type of hotel you will get offsite in the $125 range. You get waaaaayyyy more bang for your buck when you stay offsite. If I was going to stay at a value, I wouldn't pay more than $50-$60 for the priviledge. Goodness, we are renting a 2bdrm condo from an owner in Windsor Hills and it's $75 per night + tax!

I second Cypress Point for $90. on HotelKingdom. We stayed there for our first trip in 2003, and absolutely loved it. We also booked through HotelKingdom and found them to be very good.

we are thinking about going to see our DS perform in March and rooms at pop for the week he is there are $119 going up to $129 on fri for a standard room. I don't think so. It will be off-site for us again!

Yup. We've done timeshare deals, or private condo/villa for years now; so much more room for less money.

With your budget, you could try a Resort level Priceline bid; check the biddingfortravel board for recent wins. Also try AllEars or Mousesavers. They have links for deals at the Gaylord Palms. Rates about $99/night (resort fee and parking = your $125 budget). Never stayed there but it should be nice enough for you. FWIW.

I checked the DVC point calculator and if you can find someone selling their points for $10-$12 per point, Boardwalk Studios or Animal Kingdom Villas are within your pricerange!!

Go to that thread!

I agree the Disney values are the way to go. Try booking several different ways. Booking on the disney website is actually booking through an outside company, so calling and looking at the website have different availabilities. Similarly, expedia.com and other might have availability. If you call Disney directly and they are all booked up you can sometimes get an "upsell" deal to stay at a moderate. Call first, then cruise around the web.

Check the Marriott hotels in the Marriott Village...Courtyard, Fairfield, and SpringHill Suites are there.

Also, there is a Crowne Plaza on S. International Drive (not the Universal location) that is nice, and not too far out of the way.

Any particular brands you like?
