Quick Trip/Higher Crowds...help!

Help! I planned a quick trip for just my teenage sons and me in November...and I just realized it was Jersey Week. I was there 2 years ago during Jersey week and the crowds were out of control. I have already booked flights. We are flying in on November 10 and flying out November 13.

How do we maximize our time?

We ARE staying onsite, but at a value resort. I’m wondering if we should upgrade from value to reduce transportation delays. Is it worth it? I’ve never stayed in the value resorts...only moderate...so any tips are appreciated.

No dining plan really needed since these boys will be happy to live off counter service meals. I think that is a big time saver. Thoughts?

Of course I have a FP plan...and know exactly what day I can book them. Can I reserve FP at 12:01 am??

Should we take advantage of MVMCP? Would that be helpful in dealing with crowd issues?

Any help and/tips appreciated.

We stayed during Jersey Week (flew in Thursday prior to Veteran's Day and flew out the following Tuesday) this past year. The crowds weren't bad at all. Since it was Food and Wine, we went to Epcot on Thursday and then again on Sunday evening in order to stay away from the weekend crowds. We did MVMCP on Friday night, which was great. We spent the day at DS and then went to MK for 4pm (they let you in then with a MVMCP ticket). We stayed at POFQ. We mostly stay at mods, so I don't know if there's a difference in transportation with the values. We did really enjoy the boat ride to DS, though.
The earliest you can book your FP is 7am eastern.
We loved the Christmas decorations, loved F&W, loved the weather, loved MVMCP. It's really the perfect time to go in my opinion and I would totally go that weekend again. Have a great time!

Not only is it Jersey week is it also the end of F & W and a holiday so good to be patient.

Okay. We’ve upgraded to a different hotel and I’m putting my “patient pants” on. Now I just need to decide on MVMCP...

My husband and I have always gone during Jersey Week, and honestly, never even knew there was a "jersey week". The crowds were manageable to us. We love that time of year as an other poster stated. As far as the buses being better at mods or delux, I don't think there is a difference. The buses can be late, crowded, early, etc at any resort. Some posters have stated that the buses at Pop and the All stars are great. We have only stayed at mods and have had waits and quick trips, so they are all the same I think. Go and have fun, Jersey week or not
