We are hopefully going to be down for our15th anniversary/Mother’s Day this year for a four night stay, May 11-15. I somehow snagged a DVC GF resort studio and we will plan to register for the DVC event for Hollywood Studios. The kids and I had our Halloween Party cancelled due to Ian last year so we need to use our tickets before we lose them (just need to get hubs a one day So he can join us). It will we 2 adults and 3 kids, 13,11 and 8. We usually do parks all day/every day so I need suggestions on special things to do outside the parks. It’s been a very difficult year for our family as my husband has been in and out of the hospital due to TBI issues. We just found out last week that he may be medically retired from the military instead of the projected regular retirement next year. Truth be told this trip may not even happen until after the retirement but I want to plan some special things for us hoping for a much needed break. If it falls through we’ll try to go late August and finally get to use our Halloween costumes from pre-Covid. We’ve had 3 trips rescheduled due to Covid, military and hurricane….So give me your ideas so I can pixie dust my family for some much needed magic!

There will be multiple special dining events including brunches and dinners at various restaurants/resorts throughout Disney World. I would begin checking the announcements this month and early April for news of these events as it drops. March 15th will be 60 days before mothers day this year, so for Mothers Day Dining, you should be able to book on March 12th given your May 11th. check in date. There are VIP tours, Safari's and fireworks dessert parties. Look in MDE under enchanted extras. I believe that Grand Floridian offers Cabanas for rent by the pool that include padded lounge chairs, snacks, a fruit tray, TV etc... You can also look into a fireworks cruise for Epcot and Magic Kingdom- these will be pricier as the boats I believe accommodate 10 guests. I hope you find something that appeals and have a wonderful trip. pixiedust:
