I always get raves on this one. The only things I change are I leave out the jalapeno for those who don't do spicy and I usually put it in a crockpot to keep hot. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/chicken-enchilada-dip/Detail.aspx

The other thing that ALWAYS gets eaten...take sliced ham lunch meat, spread with a thin layer of cream cheese put a pickle on top and roll up. Slice into rounds and serve. Only once has my DH made too many and they weren't all eaten and he made a TON of them that time LOL. Usually they all disappear.

Everyone always loves the Brown Sugar Baked Bacon. I cut the bacon slices in half so they are shorter. Place the slices on parchment paper in a baking pan with sides (so any grease doesn't run off) - put the parchment paper on a rack in the pan if you have a rack - sprinkle with brown sugar and bake at 350° until bacon is crisp and browned - usually about half an hour. Totally unhealthy but oh so good.

That sounds good! I love sweet & savory flavors mixed. Yum! :thumbsup2

Little Smokies wrapped in crescent roll dough--mini pigs in the blanket (the new cheddar cheese Little Smokies are awesome!)

Big pieces of Keilbalsa wrapped in crescent dough--Hogs in teh blanket. Very yummy.

Love these!

I make them with pressed beef (like Buddig). The first time I made them, I spread the pickle with the cream cheese, then wrapped with meat and sliced. That was tricky! :lmao:

we always do the cucumber sandwiches as described - the only difference is that we sprinkle the top with dill vs. salt & pepper. It looks nice, and tastes great. Even my 2 yr old will gobble them up.

my all time fav.....
bacon wrapped water chestnuts smothered in barbeque sauce

Sweet and sour meatballs

Crock pot
One bag of small meatballs
Equal parts jelly and ketchup

Put on low all day.

My husband would happily live on these forever! :goodvibes

My meatball recipe is very similar: One bag meatballs, one jar chili sauce, one jar grape jelly. Put in crockpot, on low So good and guys love them!

vegetable bean dip

1 can blackeyed peas
1 can pinto beans
1 can black beans
1 can white shoepeg corn - I use whatever yellow or white

Add:
1 small jar pimento, diced and drained
1 medium onion, diced
1 large green pepper, diced
(may use yellow or red for color and flavor)
1 cup celery, diced

Bring the following to a boil and add to the above ingredients:
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 Tbls. water
3/4 c cider vinegar
1/2 c vegetable oil
1 c sugar

Refrigerate and drain before serving.
Serve with Tostitos or Fritos Scoops.
If made a day ahead of time it is best.
ENJOY!

Do these in a crock pot:

One pound kielbasa to one cup brown sugar. ( 2 pounds-2 cups etc.) Cook on high in crock pot for 3 hours. DO NOT ADD ANYTHING ELSE. Pull out sausage and serve with toothpicks either alone or with crackers and cheese. Huge hit at my office.

Premade cocktail meatballs, one bottle chili sauce (about 10 oz I think) and the same amount of grape jelly. Just put meatballs in crock pot and dumb sauce and jelly on top. Cook on high 5-6 hours or on low overnight. Again, a huge hit everyone wanted recipe.

NOTE: Sorry should have read that meatball recipe was up. At least you know it's god! :)

Do you slice the kielbasa before it goes in the crockpot or after?

my all time fav.....
bacon wrapped water chestnuts smothered in barbeque sauce

Love these! My friend makes them, but she broils them, and only bastes them with the bbq sauce (so they aren't swimming in it). They are crunchy, yummy goodness!!!

Put 1 package cream cheese on a plate, cover it with 1 can crabmeat, drained ( you can use the kind found in the tuna fish aisle if you want ) then cover that with 1 jar cocktail sauce. Serve with crackers, this makes a very good spread.

I'm sorry if this has already been posted -- I didn't read many of the posts.

When I was little, my mom introduced me to these:

She'd take a piece of salami, spread cream cheese on it, wrap a small dill pickle in it, then cut it into thirds. It sounds gross, and it probably won't appeal to some people, but I always loved them.

This new recipe was a big hit at our Halloween party and was "gobbled" up at Thanksgiving!

1 8oz block cream cheese
1 pound sausage
1 can Rotele tomatoes and peppers

cook sausage and mix everything together. Put in small crockpot on low for an hour or in microwave dish and microwave until hot and bubbly. Serve with Scoops tortilla chips.

I got this from crockpot365.com and it was called "Mommy Crack"

1 package cocktail rye
1 jar cheez whiz
oregano
pepperoni

Spread cheez whiz on the cocktail rye. Sprinkle with oregano. Place slice of pepperoni on top. Bake 350 til Rye is toasted and cheez in melty. Taste great hot, warm, or cold.

I like small brie wheels wrapped in puff pastry (or phyllo dough) and baked. You can cut them in half before wrapping and smear on jelly for a sweeter taste or Boursin cheese for a more savory taste. Serve with crackers.

This is my all-time favorite lazy hostess recipe:

Mix 1/2 small jar salsa (about 4 oz.) with an 8 oz. container of sour cream - put in a bowl / serve with Ritz crackers or tortilla chips

If you're looking for an easy punch recipe for a crowd, here's my favorite:

Pour 2L (about 8 cups - sorry I'm Canadian and think in metric) container of Cranberry Cocktail in punch bowl
Equal amount of Five Alive Citrus (or Orange) Juice
Equal amount of sprite or 7-Up or ginger ale

Add ice and, if you're feeling fancy, frozen strawberries
