First time using the dining plan and a bit confused. We are on the quick service plan. Are most entrees at the QS restaurants included with the dining plan? We wanted to try Wolf Gang Express this trip. The chicken pot pie and meatloaf sound good. Are those options for us with the plan?

TIA

Yes. If the restaurant is included on the QSDP you'll be able to choose any entree. I can't think of a QS location that has exclusions.

:thumbsup2

Also wanted to add that we love Wolfgang Puck Express :goodvibes. We eat there at least once every trip and have never had a problem ordering anything while on the DDP.

If you go to Allearsnet.com. They have the menus listed. I print all of the off and put then in a folder. Then when we decide what parks we are going into we look at the menus before we leave the resort.

Thanks everyone!

I was getting a little nervous having just the QSDP. Was starting to fear that we would be filled with burgers and pizza.

We are paying OOP for 3 TS and with QS options like Wolf Gang Express, Tangerine Café, etc I think we will be in good shape.

I am really looking forward to trying Tonga Toast at Cap't Cooks. :)

You have nothing to worry about. We've done the QSDP 17/18 days per trip every year for the last 5 years and it suits us perfectly. I am a picky eater and don't eat 'fast food' type meals so I've never touched a burger or hot dog and have never been short of healthy and/or interesting options. Just have a glance through the menus and make a list of places that stand out to you with food you like - perhaps at least 2 per park - so that when you're hungry you know where you want to go. We love the freedom of the QSDP and being able to eat as and when we want, split meals between us and just use it to suit. We are then also not bound by restaurants participating in the DDP when making choices for eating a TS here and there, and just paying OOP for those.

have a great trip :goodvibes

We just did a 2 week trip with QSD and preferred it over our last trip with regular dining. Definitely do some research first and check out menus , we also used a planning app that had links to menus on so we didn't make a trip to a restaurant to find nothing we liked. Only slight irritation was that kids selections were not so good, too many chicken tenders and burgers. We liked to leave the park and head to different sorts for greater variety, we particularly liked Pepper Market , where you just pay a gratuity and its just about like a table service, Mara at AKL and BoG for lunch was lovely. We could not eat all the credits....last few days was us vs Disney dining!

The responses are making me feel so much better! I am really excited to not be so tied down this trip. We are usually rushing to get to an ADR so looking forward to going with the flow as much as possible this visit! :cool1:

You don't have to worry about that. There's a pretty good variety of QS meals, you just have to look through all the restaurant menus ahead of time. WDWinfo (this site!) has all the menus (just clock the link in the blue banner near the top of the page ("Dining" > "Menus") to research all the different options. Or, the best thing to do is use this link: http://www.wdwinfo.com/disney-dining-plan-restaurants.htm It lists all the QS eligible restaurants, and if you click on the name of the restaurant, you can see the menu.

Virtually any item at every QS restaurant is part of the QS meal plan.

Don't forget that you also get a drink and a dessert included with every QS meal, and at some places (like Starring Rolls), they have a great variety and the desserts are $3-$4 items.

If you haven't done this already, also check out this thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3039087 which lists all the items that count as a snack credit (you also get 1 snack per person per day total). It's a lot more than just popcorn or drinks!

I just went to the menu on the Disney Web Site and did not see a Pot Pie.
I hope they have one because I want to try this place as well and love chicken Pot pie

Looking at the menu on WDWInfo they do show several different items that are NOT on the menu on Disney.com....?

They also have a lasagna and a pot roast that are not on the Disney.com menu
go figure

Keep in mind that there are two different Wolfgang Puck quick service restaurants at DTD: Wolfgang Puck Cafe Express (West Side), and Wolfgang Puck Express (Markteplace). They do not have the same menu.

Disney.com calls them The Express at Wolfgang Puck® Grand Cafe and Wolfgang Puck® Express at Downtown Disney Marketplace

The menu for Cafe Express at Disney.com does indeed show the pot pie for dinner. Not sure about the lasagna and pot roast.
