We'll be going in April '13 with an army of small children. I've picking dining options through the park by menu but started thinking that some of these QS stops might not have enough room to park and eat for 15 people. I was thinking of the following possibilities:
IOA
Comic Strip Café (because of the options)
Thunder Falls (for sharability)
US
Monster Café (for sharability)
International Food Festivial (for options)

For sit down possibilities I was thinking Finnegan's and/or Three Broomsticks.

Can anyone attest to the family friendliness/space for eating at these places? Or suggest alternatives?
TIA!!!!!

There's plenty of room in each of those places for a group of people, the only concern I would have is how busy the parks will be and how feasible it will be to have a group of 15, especially if you want to all sit together. At USF I'd add Louie's Pizza to you list, you can order whole pizza pies there which may be a cheaper option for a large group.

Also, Three Broomsticks isn't a sit-down, it's QS. This place tends to be very busy, so if you want to do it you may have to be split up.. it's also good to visit at non-typical eating hours.

bummer about three broomsticks!! That might not be too hard to split up for i guess as I'm pretty sure I'm the only HP fanatic. Thanks for the tip about Louie's!

Consider Confisco's Grille. It's full serve with good food and a lot of space.

Comic Strip Cafe is a large restaurant so you'll have no issues there. Thunder Falls Terrace is my favorite restaurant at IOA...I love the Chicken Wrap. Monsters Cafe and IFF aren't on my list when I go to USO. I would stick with Louie's Italian...their pizza is great!

Avoid Confisco's at all costs. We thought the food there was horrible.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Our favourite place to eat in IOA.

We ate lunch in there 3 times this trip and every meal was as good as the last. Great service too ::yes::

Thunder Falls is good for counter service and yep the place is big so plenty of room. And platters are big enough to share too.

In Studios Louie`s pizza is fantastic and again plenty of room for lots of people :thumbsup2

I think that Confisco's had some problems in the past but they've been improving steadily. We overheard a table of people talking to our server asking why they hadn't heard how good the place was and she told them that she hoped that word would get around. We can only speak for the several really good meals that we've had and that includes just recently.

The Monster Cafe isn't great food-wise but the theming almost makes up for it. At least try to have something to drink or maybe a dessert just to see the place.
