Apologies for what must be a duplicate post. I'm just finding the forums quite hard to navigate!

My partner and I are making our way to WDW in 12 days time, and although I've visited twice before, he's never been.

On my previous trips, I've visited a number of the QS restaurants in the parks, but I've never really visited the ones in the resorts.

Are there any particular QS restaurants people would recommend we visit in the resorts? Obviously park restaurant suggestions also welcome! I really want him to experience the best of what WDW has to offer!

:)

Satu'li Canteen is pretty low on the list linked above, I'd say because not many people have had the opportunity to eat there yet. The food is excellent, the mobile ordering makes getting your food a breeze even if it's busy, and you get real plates and flatware and refillable drinks, which makes it a little closer to TS.

If paying out of pocket I would consider some of the resort lounges. The food at the lounges is generally a bit better than the QS options but also a bit more expensive and not on the dining plan. We really enjoy Crew's Cup lounge at Yacht Club.

Any QS at the Deluxe resorts will make the food fresh making it taste better than any Park QS... The moderate resorts have great options with more selections than Deluxe resorts like Pepper market but I have not been to one in over 10 years so I cannot say if they have changed. Can not help with Value as the last time I was at one was at least 20 years ago when they all star first opened.

IMHO many of the resort QS restaurants are pretty good for hotel food, but I don't think any of them are "destination dining." For example, if I were staying at Pop I don't think I'd make a special trip to the Poly just to eat at Captain Cook's, or if I were staying at POR I wouldn't go to CSR just to eat at Pepper Market. YMMV.

Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary Resort is pretty good. I would rather eat there than at a QS place in MK. They have really delicious, high-quality meals, not to mention fabulous desserts. It's fun to take the monorail around!

If you consider Disney Springs, I highly recommend Wolfgang Puck Express and Earl of Sandwich. I haven't done the quick service meals at Homecomin', but some sound really similar to what they serve in the restaurant. We LOVE their fried chicken.
