Quick service preorder and AP discounts?

Has anyone had any experience doing the preorder and adding an AP discount? Can it be done?

At this time, you can't use the mobile ordering and get the AP discount.

Have done mobile ordering quite a few times, no discounts yet.
Fingers crossed they fix it.
I can get my discount on app shopping so I don't see why not.
But then, if the discount disappears in January, why bother.

That's such a bummer!!! I guess I'll wait in line to save 20%.
