I was wondering if anyone had been to Disney on a low carb diet. If so, what were some of your favorite QS locations and menu items.

Roast Chicken and Green Beans comes to mind from Cosmic Rays. There are alot of salad options. I would recommend posting on the disabilities board as well. Not that Low Carb really qualifies but there are alot of glutren free disers there that may have alot more options than are coming to mind for me.

Here's a low carb thread:

Counter service is the most challenging unless you don't mind eating salads a large portion of the time. Chicken Caesar Salad is usually pretty carb friendly. Obviously, Casey's you can forgo the bun and ask for the raw veggies instead of fries. I tend to go to the buffets for breakfast if low-carbing it because of the meats, eggs, etc...then I just do snacks (raw veggies/cheese, etc) for lunch and then head to Dinner in which you can usually get some type of beef/pork/chicken with veggies & salad.

You can always order an entree a la carte and supplement with snacks of your own. For example, you can get the aforementioned roast chicken and green beans at Cosmic Rays and leave out the mashed potatoes. If you buy a burger or chicken sandwich, you can order it without fries and avoid the bun.

Thanks for the suggestions. At cosmic rays, can I order a side of green beans? Also, what is a side of raw veggies at Casey's? Lertuce, tomato, onion or like carrots broccoli and cauliflower?

Some places offer turkey wraps, (pecos bills I think?). Cosmic rays you can get veggies and rotisserie chicken. The land pavilion in epcot probably has a good selection.

I'm excited to try the new Pork Shank at Gaston's Tavern! In all the parks, the fruit stands have fruit, hummus, and carrots with ranch--might work for you, might not.

Other good bets--
in MK: Columbia Harbor House has a salmon platter with broccoli and you can order extra broccoli. Cosmic Ray's, as stated, is good.

In Epcot--so easy! A lot of good CS options. Sunshine Seasons & Morocco (schwarma!!) are favorites.

In DHS--I know they have turkey legs.

In AK--flame Tree BBQ, but ditch the sauce & beans.

Also check out any Paleo/Primal threads for more ideas.
