Am I the only one that wishes there were more Quick Service food options open closer to park opening? We were at WDW Dec. 1-9. We did rope drop several times at MK. The park would open at either 8 or 9am, and most restaurants did not open until 11:00am, except the breakfast places that required ADRs. Gaston's Tavern was open, but it was mostly high-sugar items, not much in the way of protein. They did have a ham and cheese stuffed pretzel that was good. But beyond that, it was hard to find any food of substance prior to lunch time. There were pretzel carts and ice cream carts open earlier.

I will admit that I did not think to research this before our trip, so there may have been options I missed. I was surprised how hungry I got after an hour at the park.

Yup, last trip the hotel food court was a disaster and we didn't want to lose any more time.
We got to MK with no real options for anything "good" so if you are going to be bad ....
... why not churros and a coke! It's vacation.

I believe all of the Starbuck locations in each park have breakfast sandwiches along with their pastries. Since they came in, that's pretty much your only choice for anything savory. Sleepy Hollow in MK used to have a savory waffle available for breakfast, but not sure if they still do. They do have the nutella/fruit waffle, which is still sweet, but sooooo good.

The problem with rope drop is that you're there to ride the rides, so it doesn't make sense to get in line at Starbucks as soon as you enter. We try to bring our own food in first thing in the morning and eat as we go and then enjoy an early and quiet counter service lunch before the crowds roll in.

We either head to the food court for breakfast very early, or have some breakfast items in the room and take along with us till lunch time. Not unless we are going to have breakfast with the characters which we will do a few times during our visits.

At MK -
BOG which is QS but you have to have ADRS basically
Sleepy Hollow - They have a sweet and spicy chicken waffle and the sausage and cheese stuffed pretzel, or a fresh fruit waffle.
Main Street Bakery/ Starbucks - offers some savory items, but mostly pastries.
Gaston's - sweet treats

Epcot -
Sunshine Seasons offer- a Breakfast platter and some breakfast sandwiches, along with muffins and pastries.
Kringla bakery - In Norway offers some savory breakfast sandwiches - I am fairly sure that you can get something around 9:00 am there.
Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie - offers some really yummy breakfast items, I know there is a couple of Quiche's and a ham and cheese croissant, as well as pastries.
Starbucks is also to the right of the fountain as you enter the park.

DHS-
Starring Rolls - basically just sweet breakfast items

Animal Kingdom -
Restaurantosaurus - Basically waffles

Disney Springs
Earl of Sandwich - really good breakfast sandwiches.
Wolfgang Pucks Express at the market place.

There are a few but not a abundance of options.

At MK, there is also the market in Liberty Square, and smoothies at Auntie Gravity's.
