We are booked into AStMu on the QSDP 9.21-28. I see that you can swap your dessert or beverage for a snack item. If we do not get dessert at a meal, does that mean we get the credit for it to use later? We booked on the free DP promo, so not using something isn't necessarily a concern for us. Just trying to get the mot out of our trip!

We may not want dessert at lunch for example...but then do we have the credit for that unused dessert somewhere?

You cannot save the dessert entitlement until later. You can exchange the dessert and/or drink for anything on the menu with the purple dining plan snack logo, but it must be done all in one transaction. If you don't use the dessert or drink entitlement at that time you lose it.

We find the portions too big for my DD and me to eat in one meal, so frequently we share an entree and get a couple snacks with it (like, at Yak & Yeti CS in DAK we'll get a side of fried rice with our entree, plus one egg roll, and two ice waters). We still have a hard time finishing it all! Or at Flame Tree you can substitute onion rings for your dessert.

We also don't always want dessert.

If we're at the food court, we get something that we can put in the fridge or leave in the room for later, like a pastry that can be breakfast next day for her. Or a bottle of juice.

There are usually lots of options instead of dessert (but not always), so I'd suggest familiarizing yourself with some menus to find out what's best for you.

Worst case scenario, if you don't want dessert, you can get a bottle of Dasani to take with you for later. We don't often do that, as ice water is fine with us, and I always order a case of water for the room.
