We got free dining on our last trip but we stayed at Caribbean Beach.......this time we want to stay at Pop. If free dining is offered again during our trip, does anyone know how much extra we'd have to pay to upgrade from the free quick service to basic?

It depends on the time of year you stay.

Per the 2012 prices we have the costs to upgrade are:

Non-peak season: $16.55 per adult per night, $3.03 per child per night
Peak season: $18.55 per adult per night, $4.03 per child per night

We got a pin for free dining & planned on staying at POP, so we were entitled to the QSDP, but we upgraded to the DDP and paid $13.80 per person, per night. This is for August 2011.

Adult DDP price for 2012 is $51.54. To even get the price you have to "book" a vacation pkg on the Disney website with and without dining and subtract the difference. Disney won't tell you how much the plan costs.

DVC members can find exact pricing on the member website, because they don't buy packages. DVC doesn't pay peak prices so those can't be found on the DVC website. And sometimes the package totals come out differently than the individual DVC pricing.
