Quick Service Dining 4/15/12-4/21/12

Count me in for your ride...I too am staying at POP very soon and I also have the QS DP!!!

Loving this thank you so much for posting!

I almost forgot, on Sunday our first day there we decided to check out the movie that was playing that night at Pop. The movie usually started at 8:30pm and it was a different movie each night. It was Toy Story and my kids love Woody and Buzz. For a snack while we were eating I got a piece of the Tye Dye Cheesecake. I didn't have my camera with me so I had to my cell phone so sorry if the picture isn't as good.

The cheesecake part was good, but to be honest I wasn't impressed with the actual cake part that was at the bottom of it. Mind you it was late at night when we got it, but the cake part tasted like a refrigerator. It was just ok, and my experience wasn't as great as most people here. I didn't try it again since it wasn't what I was expecting.

Am loving the pictures and comments. Thanks for Posting...Now I know what I am having our first night at Downtown Disney...We were already planning on Wolfgang Puck Express...Meatloaf it is for me :)

:thumbsup2 Love your review! We're right outside of Memphis, and driving down too in 3 weeks AND on the QSDP too! Your pics were very encouraging. Looks to me to be a ton of food and my guys love to eat!

Can I ask...Is it pretty easy to figure out WHAT is on the QSDP or did you have to ask at every restaurant what fit into that category? And I'm not sure since you were at Pop, whether CBR is about the same, but were the snacks for breakfast pretty ample or were they just a croissant or piece of fruit? We have such differing ages and appetites in our family...it could get interesting!:goodvibes

Thanks again for posting...very cool!:cool2:

I eat a mostly vegan diet, but those ribs and chicken from Flame Tree look so good right now!

I'm also enjoying your reviews. We were there at the same time (15th-22nd) and had the QSDP. The 18th was also our Animal Kingdom day and now I'm wishing that we had stopped at the Flame Tree Barbecue!! Great pics!!

Thanks everyone. Ill try to post some more in the next couple of days. The drive from TN was a beast. I live in Jackson just about an hour north of Memphis.

As long as it is a quick service restaurant anything on the menu can be gotten...no restrictions that I found. Pretty much the same snacks were kept out all day. Pastries, cookies, cakes you could get with your breakfast if you wanted. You don't get a dessert or a side with breakfast though so I would try to save my credits for lunch and dinner if I could. I think my wife got grits one morning as a snack with her breakfast.

Where did you get the bugs sundae at AK?

Yes I know I am a grown adult but I want one :rotfl:

:thumbsup2Thanks for the info! Yes, :scared1: our drive will be that too, albeit, one hour shorter than yours! This chik isn't particularly excited about our drive, but we're in Southaven, so maybe it'll seem shorter:rotfl:

And that's exactly what we think we're gonna do...try a snack for breakfast and keep our cs at lunch and dinner. We like to hit it early, so don't think we'll stop for the bigger stuff. Glad y'all had a good time, and look forward to hearing more!:goodvibes

I got the sundae from the Safari Animal Kingdom Kiosk. It was to the left of the tree of life right before you crossed into Africa

I think you've gotten great CS meals! I'm thinking I will add a CS meal plan to one of my DVC trips. I'll have to try that meatloaf!!!

Great reviews! We'll be at WDW in just under 2 weeks and are on the QSDP so this is great!

Enjoying read your reviews and photos. ::yes::

You started at one of our fav. CS locations-WPE. Not surprised you went back again. Though we too had a slightly over cooked sugar on one of our 4 Creme Brulees.

I've been reading about the meatloaf and we are definitely going to have to try that in Oct. Especially since my DM is a huge meatloaf lover.

I couldn't agree with you more about the hamburger comment. We were at WDW for 11 nights last year on the QSDP and I didn't have one burger (hey, I think that's the title of my QSDP report!:rotfl:) And I think my DD12 only had one. I find most of the burgers at Disney are pretty bad.

Also agree with you about the cheesecake at POP. I'm not a fan. I am going to put the Cheesecake on WPE on my list. I love Creme Brulee but I love cheesecake as well!

Can't wait to read more.

We definitely prefer the cheesecake at WPE over the creme brulee. We to have had ours a bit overdone, but its still good. But we love the cheesecake:love:

I definitely need to try WPE - so many great photos that you have of your meals there. That bacon wrapped meatloaf looks amazing! Thanks for sharing your experience and your awesome photos!
