Hey everyone, first time making a thread on here. Just had our first family disney trip and before I went I read alot of the threads on here and really enjoyed the ones that posted pictures of the food and gave reviews so I wanted to do the same. A little bit about who all went:
Me, Kyle 27M
Wife, 26F
Daughter, 2F
Son, 1M
My mom, (won't say her age, she'd kill me
My sister, 15F

My wife and I planned on going and my mom said she always wanted to take my sister so I let them know and they wanted to go with us. We drove from Tennessee to Orlando, took about 15 hours in the car each way. Left on 4/14 and went to Daytona beach for a night, then drove the rest of the way to Disney on 4/15.

We had the quick service dining plan, but did 2 table service meals OOP. I tried to take pictures of at least all the food my wife and I ate, but my mom and sister split up from us some and did their own thing so I don't always have pictures of what they ate.

We stayed at Pop Century and had a good time, already looking at going back. If anyone has questions related to Pop or Disney in general or the food feel free to ask!

First post with pictures so lets hope this turns out ok. We arrived at Pop around 1:30 and were able to check in with no problems. We Only had 5 days of park tickets, but wanted to get started enjoying Disney so we decided to go to Downtown Disney.

I read on here how lots of people loved Wolfgang Puck so I decided to give it a try. Our kids usally would just eat off of our plates.

IMG_8351.jpg

I had the Cavatappi Chicken Alfredo, I thought it was a little bland for my taste, but it was still good, just no flavors jumped out at you

IMG_8356.jpg

My wife had the bacon wrapped meatloaf, I must say this was probably my favorite dish of the entire trip! It was delicious. Meatloaf was tender, mashed potatos flavorful, and the sauce tasted like some kind of wine-reduction and I could have eaten the entire plate by myslef, but of course my wife enjoyed it too, so I only got to eat a little!

IMG_8352.jpg

My mom had the spaghetti and it had more italian flavoring in it than we were used to cooking at home, but it was nice to try something different.

IMG_8353.jpg

My sister had the same thing, except with meatballs, I did not personally try the meatballs, but she seemed to enjoy them, she just said it was a lot of meat and only ate 1 of them.

Then it was on to dessert!
IMG_8354.jpg

My wife and I got the creme brulee and it was yummy. I make it at home sometimes and my wife and I enjoyed it both very much. The sugar on one of them was caramelized a little bit too much, but still very enjoyable.

IMG_8355.jpg

My mom and sister both got the vanilla bean cheesecake and man it was good. It even seemed like they put a little sugar on the top of it and caramelized it, and it was a hit! I could have eaten a few of these.

I didn't write down the prices of all the items (something to do for next time), but I do recall that the total bill for all 4 of us was around $93.

That's it for the first day, The next day we visited epcot

My kids are insisting on heading back to WPE this trip. We all LOVE the meatloaf!!! However, now I don't like any other meatloaf, because it's just not as good,

I agree...the meatloaf was awesome. We actually went back we liked it so much...but that is another review.

Joining in! My daughter and I will be doing mostly quick service on our next trip so I'm very excited to read your reviews. I've usually got pizza at WPE and now I'm kicking myself that I didn't try that meatloaf. But I have had the cheesecake and agree that it is wonderful! :thumbsup2

Another vote for WPE. Love the creme brulee and the salads, pizzas and chicken meal are amazing too. Looking forward to more

those meatballs look AWESOME....and looking at the photos they looked HUGE...I would like to try the meatloaf too...Hope I can get my hubby away from EARL OF SANDWICH...I need to try this place....
thanks for the review and photos

We love WPE and I can't wait to get a piece of their Cheescake again :)

Today we went to Epcot. We brought a lot of muffins/pastries/granola bars since we drove down so that is what we usually did for breakfast. We had 2 ADRs for the trip Le Cellier and Crystal Palace and today we did Le Cellier for lunch.

IMG_8464.jpg

Here is a picture of the bread basket, there was pretzel bread, sourdough, and a multigrain...by far the best was the pretzel bread.

IMG_8465.jpg

My wife, I, and my sister tried the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup. I ate all of mine, but my wife didn't care for it that much. It had a very strong smoky flavor to it. I tried to give some to my kids, but they wouldn't touch it.

IMG_8466.jpg

My mom got the Spicy Chicken and Chipotle Sausage. I tried it and the sauce was delicious and slightly sweet. I didn't care for the greens that came on top though. The sausage was good, but it is spicy! I don't know what they put in it, but nearly every bite you would get something that would light your mouth on fire.

IMG_8475.jpg

I did order the kids something and got them the pizza, they semed to enjoy it.

IMG_8476.jpg

My wife and sister got the porkchop. It was huge. I tried it and it was cooked well and still very moist. My wife thought it was too much meat though and didn't have a lot of seasoning.

IMG_8478.jpg

I got the Wild Mushroom Filet Mignon. The steak was wonderful, great flavor and almost tender enough to cut with a fork. I didn't care for the Risotto, I've never had it before, and even though I like mushrooms the flavor was a little overpowering.

IMG_8477.jpg

My mom got the Le Cellier House Burger. I didn't try it. I don't think she liked it too much because she just picked at it, it was very large though.

Now it is time for dessert!

IMG_8479.jpg

My sister got the seasonal sorbet and it was strawberry. She loved it and I tried some too, probably my favorite dessert.

IMG_8480.jpg

My mom got the Maple Creme Brulee. It was good, but to be honest I prefered the Wolfgang Puck Creme Brulee.

IMG_8482.jpg

My wife got the Chocolate Moose. She didn't know it was actually a moose and laughed when it came out. It was good, but very rich and chocolatey. A little too chocolatey for my taste personally.

IMG_8483.jpg

I got the kids an Ice Cream Sundae. It was good, but a basic sundae. I recall the whole meal costing $92 with the tip included since we were a party of 6 for my wife and I and my 1 kids meal. My mom and sister's ticket was around $75.

IMG_8522.jpg

After we ate my sister ended up getting the Kaki Gori(sp?) shaved ice from Japan. She liked it alot and then they went on their way.

I didn't buy anything there, but we did stop by Boulangerie Paitisserie and I took some pictures.

IMG_8515.jpg

IMG_8516.jpg

For supper we ate at the Electric Umbrella. Probably my least favorite meal of the trip.
IMG_8538.jpg

IMG_8539.jpg

My wife got the bacon cheeseburger and I got the chicken nuggets. Nothing special about either one, both were bland. At least you got free refills on your drinks there. For dessert we got the fruit cup and strawberry cheesecake. Again, nothing great, just basic.

I had read about the Karamell-Kuche on here so we just had to try it.

IMG_8580.jpg

IMG_8581.jpg

I had to get the caramel popcorn for my snack and it was fantastic. Slightly chewy and perfectly sweet.

IMG_8583.jpg

My wife got the Peanut butter cookie with caramel on it. It was just ok, nothing great, alot of the caramel stuck to the wrapper.

Had to do a seperate post since I had too many pictures.

We were waiting for the fireworks to start and I had read about Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe so we stopped in there for a peak, I didn't get anything because I was still full, but here are a few pictures.

IMG_8595.jpg

IMG_8594.jpg

And I bought one alcoholic drink during the trip and it was the Margarita from Mexico.
IMG_8605.jpg

It had Lime, Strawberry, and Mango flavors. I wasn't a huge fan, I've had better locally and it was $10 if I recall correctly.

That's it for Day 1. The next day we visited Hollywood Studios.

Today was Hollywood Studios. We actually did eat a QS breakfast at Pop today.

My wife had the French Toast and I had the Breakfast Combo (forgot the exact name, basically some of everything)

IMG_8612.jpg

IMG_8613.jpg

Breakfast was good, nothing spectacular, but it was a good change from the snack foods we had brought.

I actually went to Starring Rolls soon after we went to HS, and everything looked great but I decided I would wait until later that night to take pictures and get something. When I went back at about 7pm that night they had already closed (they close at 4pm)...I was disappointed...but will definately have to do it next time.

For lunch we went to Pizza Planet. Very cool theme, kinda loud though, but it is to be expected with it being an arcade.

IMG_8721.jpg

Our first experience with Disney pizza, not too greasy, but I've had better. My wife got the Veggie pizza and I got the pepperoni. They both came with Caesar salads and I love caesar dressing. I really enjoyed the salad, but they put a ton of dressing on them just fyi.

IMG_8722.jpg

Now for dessert we had the Cappucino Chocolate Cupcakes<-----YUM! My wifes favorite dessert on the trip and definately one of mine. A must try for anyone. I'll be honest, I don't like coffee a whole lot and neither does my wife unless it has a ton of flavored creamer, but these were perfect. You could just barely taste a coffee flavor and they were sweet, but not overpowering. Delicious!

For supper we went back to the hotel for nap and ate at Pop.
IMG_8735.jpg

My sister ate the chicken noodle soup. She really enjoyed it, I didn't try any though.

IMG_8736.jpg

I ate the Nachos. Very tasty, they came loaded with toppings and you definately got enough to share.

IMG_8737.jpg

My wife got the shrimp lo mein. It had quite a few shrimp on top (I think they just keep the lo mein cooked and the meats and then add them when you order). It was good, the kids enjoyed it too.

For dessert I got the Apple tart a la mode and my wife got the Pecan tart a la mode
IMG_8743.jpg

IMG_8744.jpg

My sister got the brownie deluxe sundae and it looked really good, it's a very large dessert and I think it costs about $5.89 on it's own.

IMG_8745.jpg

That's all for today, the next day we went to Animal Kingdom!

OMG you have a picture of my absolute favorite drink in Epcot. I love the Fiesta Margaritas. When we went to Le Cellier I had the filet with no mushrooms and subbed the mashed potatoes and it was my second favorite meal of the trip.

Thank you everyone for the replies! I posted the cupcake in that thread, if I can do anything else just let me know.

Great reviews and pictures...you are killing me with the caramel shop, that is our favorite treat place and she is making a huge tray of the caramel chocolate covered pretzels which they are always running out of...I could eat that entire tray :lmao:

following along!!! I LOVE Pop desserts! My DD loves the Tye Dye Cheesecake!!!

MMMM, I think I am going to try the Chipoltle Sausage this time at Le Cellier, looks amazing.

Please keep it coming!! We have the free QSDP in two weeks so I am following closely!!:thumbsup2

Today was Animal Kingdom. Some rides were walk on like Dinosaur, and others like the Safari ride had an hour wait. It was probably the busiest of the 3 parks that we went to so far, at least it appeared that way to me. We did our usual Snacks for breakfast and for lunch we had to try Flame Tree Barbecue. This meal was actually tied for my favorite. You get a lot of food and it was delicious. Everyone got the same meal.

IMG_8923.jpg

IMG_8924.jpg

We all got the Chicken and Ribs combo and it was great. It is crazy to think you can get something this good here or get stuck with a bland burger and it costs the same. I want to say the plate itself was $10.99 plus dessert and drink made it about $15-$16 a person. The ribs were tender and everything had a great flavor like it has been in a smoker for awhile. The baked beans were made with a different kind of bean, but still good and the cole slaw was a great compliment to the dish.

IMG_8925.jpg

For dessert everyone but my wife had the Key Lime dessert. We all had the chocolate. The key lime was tart, but complimented by enough sweetness. While the desserts were good, it was the entree that really made the meal stand out. It was great too because while sitting out in the open shaded area there were tons of different birds I had never seen before jumping around and one even stole a chicken leg out of a little girls hand! There was a bunch of noise coming from the birds fighting afterwards and the little girl was upset, but it was a show!

IMG_9028.jpg

I was hoping to get the Mickey Ice Cream Sandwhich for a snack, but they were all sold out...and it was only 1pm! So instead we got the Bugs Sundae. My kids liked the gummy worms, it was a nice treat from the heat.

IMG_9029.jpg

My mom and sister got a waffle cone with a scoop of ice cream, I didn't try them, but they didn't last long!

For dinner we had went back to the room for a nap and since Animal Kingdom closed at 7pm we decided just to call it an early day. I wanted to go back to Wolfgang Puck to try their food again so we did. My sister got the Cavattapi Chicken Alfredo because she liked mine so much and my wife got the meatloaf again, so I didn't take another picture of that. My wife enjoyed her meatloaf alot and said it was even better this time around!

IMG_9031.jpg

I got the Salmon. The waiter called it upside down Salmon when he brought it to me...I guess it fell off the bed of greens. I wanted to try something different and me trying to get my moneys worth, wanted to order the most expensive thing off the menu (It was $18). I'm not even a huge fish eater, but the Salmon was good. It had a nice crispy outside and the inside was cooked nicely. Unfortunately the greens that it sat on were not good at all. I felt like I was eating a bunch of grass. It didn't have any flavor and it was very leafy. The tartar sauce was good, it was more of a light and subtle flavor than the traditional tartar sauce I am used to.

IMG_9033.jpg

My mom got the Chicken Aioli Sandwhich. I tried some of it and it was good. It seemed more like a lunch dish as it didn't have a lot of flavor and was more light on the seasoning.

We all got the Vanilla Bean Cheesecake because it was so good last time. While it was good this time, the first time was better.

It was still somewhat early and I wanted to check out some of the other resorts so we took the bus to the Contemporary and took the monorail over to the Poly. My life really like the Poly and said she wanted to stay there next time...if only my wallet could afford it! I had read about the Dole Whips and decided I just had to have one so low and behold:

IMG_9047.jpg

It was everything the hype had said it was. I got the Swirl and it was delicious. Slightly tart from the pineapple and perfectly sweet. I could have eaten a bucket of it!

The next 2 days we went to the Magic Kingdom.
