We have the quick service plan. I am a little confused though. We get a meal and a dessert? Is that always?
For instance...I looked at Cosmic Rays and I see on the menu they have a 1/2 Chicken and BBQ rib combo that comes with mashed potatoes. Would normally cost you $13.99. So you get ALL that for the quick service? Then you still get a dessert with it?

Say Wolfgang at Downtown Disney...you pick the large spaghetti plate. You still get a dessert?
The desserts throw me. You get one every time at every place?

Yes, dessert every time. And Disney knows the prices will even out. Unless you eat the Combo meal and WPE every single day, most of your QS meals will be significantly cheaper.

The disparity is much greater on the DDP, where a TS meal can range anywhere from $15 to $45.

ANd trust me it is sooooooooo much food. We were throwing food away amd finally just split the meals up so we had 2 table services between are family of four one meal and then 2 another meal. It was a crazy amount of food. :)

have a packaged fruit (usually grapes or apple slices) option for dessert. DD (adult) and I split EVERY CS meal because they tend to be huge and take the fruit to munch on later. This gives us breakfast, lunch and our own TS dinners. We are satisfied but not stuffed, throw away almost nothing and have room for yummy TS desserts!! Works perfectly for us!

Every meal...except breakfast. Desserts are not included with breakfast.

Just be aware that the desserts at most counter service places in the parks are pre-packaged and there are only 2-3 choices. You will be very sick of chocolate cake by the end of the trip :) Desserts at the resorts and DTD are better. We do get the QSDP when we have kids with us because the snack credits make it a good deal. I don't think it's such a good deal for adults UNLESS you eat all your meals at WPE or Pepper Market.

Some CS locations will count a bottle of water as your dessert. I've had better luck with this request when the weather is HOT. Just ask the cashier when you place your order.

When I get my fill of that pre-packaged chocolate cake I've also subbed the kid's fruit portion, just a vary small package of apple slices or grapes, as my dessert. Again, not everywhere, but enough that it's worth mentioning.

The quick service plan can be great if you like dessert and do some research before to know what variety exists.

At WPE you get any wonderful entree and any dessert, even kids got ANY dessert plus a plate sized pizza. This place would be good as a TS.

At resorts you have lots of dessert options since most have fruit, bakery items, dirt cups, cake, some have ice cream, each resort has different specialty food so these can be good for dinner.

Breakfast is the cheapest meal in almost all cases. But if you are sharing credits anyway Bounty platters can be big and if you eat at the resort you can use your mug and then take your drink to the park.

The best dessert at a CS is the Magic Cookie Bar at the POR! I can't wait to have one in October!!

As others have said, yes, at every lunch and dinner. As I recall, many of the options are packaged individually, so if you had a small bag with you, you could toss it in there and have it for a snack later if you got hungry. Of course, you do get 2 snack credits for each day too so you might end up overrun with snacks. ;)

Quick question, I thought the QS DP came with a drink each time. Is this true?
I mean Tinka-Belle said that you can substitute a water for a dessert. Or do you mean an extra water/drink?

I think Tinka-Belle was talking about an extra water...and yes, drinks come with your QS meals.
