Quick Service Cocktails

Might end up doing the quick service plan next trip and was wondering what quick services have some good adult beverages or even novelty drinks for the kids? Thanks for any input!

The menu at the Polite Pig lists cocktail on tap.I like the Wolfgang Puck Chardonnay at WPE. I have also had it eating at his restaurant in Atantic City. Most QS(except MK location) seem to have beer and wine. Haven't eaten in the Mexican QS maybe they have margaritas. I thought they did but I haven't eaten there in over 10 years.

I suspect that until January rolls around and we start hearing what is and isn't included in the dining plan drink element, it is just plain too soon to start thinking this way. Because the wording on the plan brochure clearly sets the stage for exclusions and limitations, and we just don't know what they'll be or how they'll vary from place to place.

That said, I'm not a beer drinker so I tend towards wine and mixed drinks if I want an adult beverage with a meal. Tangerine Cafe in Morocco has a tangerine daiquiri that is pretty good, the plum wine at Katsura Grill (Japan) is nice and light and they have a green tea cocktail that sounds interesting but I haven't yet tried, and the spiked coffee at Kringala bakery in Norway is great on cooler mornings. And I've just come to two interesting realizations... Epcot is apparently both the only park where we eat counter service and the park where I do all my drinking, because I can't think of a must-try drink (at QS or otherwise) in any of the other parks! :rotfl:

I totally get what you are saying but I will be there in very early January so there probably won't be a ton of reports in before I go. I will be one of the guinea pigs so at least I wanted to try to visit places where I might get an interesting drink. I almost never drink because I am afraid I will hate a drink and waste the money but if included with the meal I am happy to try new things!

I am definitely curious how it is all going to work, even in regards to things like milkshakes for the kids since they are often in the 'dessert' section of the menu :scratchin

I know of at least several places that have sangria, margaritas, dole whip with rum floater, Pog juice with a floater, Long Island ice tea, etc.

I loved the Dole Whip with a choice of coconut or spiced rum at Animal Kingdom! Super refreshing, and the splash of rum was actually pretty generous!

I am guessing a floater means a shot? I spend more time with kids than adults so a floater is usually something backwashed in my world. DH is POG obsessed so he would probably want to seek that out - thanks!

Are these at a QS place? I would love to try it, thanks!

The catch with a lot of those is that they're from places that don't offer QS meals, only snacks, so you won't be able to use a meal credit there. For example: that boozy Dole Whip, which I agree is amazing, is from Tamu-Tamu in Animal Kingdom... a place that serves only snacks. From the sake mist at Kabuki and the Grey Goose slushie in France to the spiked POG juice at Tambu Lounge and the margarita at La Cava, most of the best drinks at Disney are from places that either serve only snacks or don't accept the dining plan at all.

Oh, I thought of another option to check out... Some of the resort pool bars serve real food and accept QS credits. I think it is only the deluxe resort pool bars that have food, though. I know the ones at POP, POFQ, and CSR didn't on our stays there. But Hurricane Hanna's at the Beach Club and Oasis at the Poly both do, and I recall them both having pretty good drink menus. Lots of fruity and frozen things.
