We just returned from a Med. cruise with a stopover at DLP on our way to Venice. It was our first trip to DLP. Thank you to all of those that helped along the way.
We flew into CDG and had booked with Blue Transport. We were a bit nervous since they were still not there 30 min. after we arrived. They did finally show up and took us to Newport Bay.
We had book a suite so all five of us could be together in a room, and were looking forward to the VIP fastpasses, since we only had two days, and who knows when we will be back again.
Our suite was wonderful!!!! It was clean, and had a lovely view of the lake. There was even a bottle of champange waiting and two stuffed steamboat Willie animals for the two younger kids.
We checked in at about 10 and it went very smoothly, we then headed out to the park until our room was ready.
It was very overcast and did end up raining, but nothing that would stop us with a mickey poncho.
We ate at Lucky Nugget for lunch and had a nice time.
The kids favorites were BTMRR and Space Mountain. Both much better than WDW.
Finished out the day with a swim at their indoor pool (sure wish the resorts in Florida had that) and turned in early as we were suffering a 6 hr. time change jet lag. I still can't believe we all made it to 10:00.
Started day 2 at with breakfast and it was wonderful. Got there at about 7:30 and were some of the first ones there. We then went on to The Studios. We loved everything we did. My kids favorite was Stitch (I think it was because my one DD was picked out to be one of the kids Stitch talked to throughout the show.)
Had an afternoon rest at the hotel and went back to Disneyland Park for fireworks. We had dinner at Casey's while we were waiting and loved the fireworks show.
Blue transport was on time the next morning to take us over to CDG to catch our flight to Venice.
We really wish we had more time, but made the most of every minute we were there. We really hope to come back someday to see what we misssed and to be able to slow down and really take in the atmosphere.
