Just returned Monday night from a wonderful Orlando trip. My best friend and I stayed our last night at Coronado Springs Resort, mainly so I could book the bounce back free dining for next year.

We were given room 3142 in Casitas 3. I had requested Casitas, so I was very pleased that my request was granted. After touring the resort, I'm requesting the Cabanas section. I had booked the waterview room, and I've also booked one again for next year.

Overall, I was very happy with the resort. The CMs we encountered were very friendly/helpful, we loved the Pepper Market, gift shop and the Dig Site pool. Our room was clean, everything was working properly, and we had plenty of room. Next year, DH and I will be taking our DD (who will be 2) and our nephew (who will be 10), so it was good to see the rooms/amenities first hand and know what to expect. There was some construction going on next to the Pepper Market, but the noise wasn't that bad. I really liked the Pepper Market offerings and being seated by the CMs. Magical Express service back to the airport was fine. I'm very excited about returning next year!

And now a few pics from our stay...

We'll be there on Nov. 30, and now I can't wait!

I also requested Casitas, so your pics were very helpful!

Thanks for posting, your review, and the pictures (reminded us of our time there earlier this month). Glad you liked the CSR.

Transportation was ok??

We only stayed onsite one night and didn't use the bus service to the parks. That said, the few bus stops we encountered didn't have many people waiting or a bus was picking people up every time we went by.

As for our Magical Express experience, we didn't get the pickup time in our express check-out envelope, but I found out what time by calling bell services - the CM I spoke with seemed to think that it was odd we didn't get the normal notification. Our flight didn't leave until after 4PM, so we just caught the 1:45 bus (had to be there by 1:30PM). Not a big deal.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the review and the pics we stayed in the cabanas and enjoyed it, but Casitas is very nice as well, we took a stroll over at night and we liked the courtyards with the fountains. We liked being close to the digsite and the beach with the hammocks, but I am considering requesting Casitas just for a change of scenery and my DS14 did like using the gym over there. :) Linda

I'll be staying at CSR the last week of November! Thanks so much for the pics!

Great report. Glad to hear that you loved CSR.
But what really caught my eye was the precious little girl in your signature. She is just too beautiful!!

love the piccies, not long for me know, so thanks for sharing

WDWBetsy....I see you have also stayed at POR. This will be our first trip to CSR and I'm wondering how the size of the resort compares to POR?

Aw thanks!! She is my little Disney World freak in training, and we think she's beautiful too. Hopefully she'll keep her ears on when we go - I bought her some while I was there, and she kept them on just long enough to pose for this pic (along with the help of my DH holding her arms and keeping her entertained!). She does NOT like hats and kept pulling it off when I tried taking pics by myself (that explains the uggy hair seen here!).

WDWBetsy....I see you have also stayed at POR. This will be our first trip to CSR and I'm wondering how the size of the resort compares to POR?

It honestly seemed larger - now, when we stayed at POR, we were in Acadian House. We used the North bus stop, were not too far from the main themed pool and pretty much only walked to the food court. It was pretty big, but we didn't have to walk that far. Well, I sent DH out for food/drinks, so he did most of the running! :rotfl:

CSR seemed large to me, but I'm wondering if it's because the buildings are all around the lake and you can see how spread out it is. If I recall, POR had more trees and the buildings were more scattered - mansions and then Alligator Bayou. I didn't have to walk all over since we had a pretty good location. I would not let the CSR size get in your way of enjoying the resort - it is truly awesome and they do have the internal cart transportation - we saw people using it and caught a ride ourselves. You really had to watch not to get ran over! hehe

Honestly, that's why I'm requesting the Cabanas next time - they're between the Dig Site pool and the food court. Plus the beach area will be fun with my little girl and nephew. The Casitas were great that they were covered for the most part when we had a big downpour the night we checked in, but I did like how the Cabanas looked.

I wish I had taken more pics, but I was trying to leave some of the resort for exploring with DH and the kids. I had fun with my friend, but it just wasn't the same without DH. I'm sure the kids will keep us hopping!

Hope this helps! :wizard:
