I ordered 3 day hoppers through Discount Orlando Vacations last week becasue they were cheaper than waiting and getting 3 day MYW tickets next year. Well, they came today and they are different type passes than we had last time. These are more of a laminated paper type and last time we got (through Disney.com) a credit card plastic type card. Have they changed the passes to the laminated paper since 2002? Also, on the back it says the following:

"Not valid for special events requiring a separate admission charge or for any park commencing operations after May 1, 1998"

Does that mean these tickets are invalid after 5/1/98? I was a little nervous about buying through an independant agent, but I have heard all good reviews about Discount orlando vacations from other Diser's. I'm freaking out a little now!! Anyone have any ideas?? HELP

I would think that means you can't use them to enter any park that opened after May 1, 1998. I have never used tickets from them so I can't help with anything else.

Actually - the laminated paper tickets are the older one - the credit card like ones are new. The language you see is on all tickets so don't be worried.

Thanks for all of your quick replies - I did call Discount Orlando Vacations to check and he said they are not valid for entry to a park that opens after 5/1/98. I think he said that is when AK opened so it should be good at all 4 parks. Also, I did check my left over passes from last trip and of course they do have the same wording on them as these do. Slight over reaction on my part, I guess!!

One of the tickets has a plus option on it (we had some plus options left over from last time and only needed one extra plus option for our youngest DD)- does anyone know either of the water parks opened after 5/1/98 or is it safe to assume that all the parks opened before 5/1/98?

Actually, we ordered passes as "will call" directly through Disney this past October, and they were the laminated paper tickets, as well.

That just means not for special events such as the Christmas Party, Halloween Party, etc ... I believe.

We used to buy our hoppers at the Disney Store because they offered different deals like Canadian at Par. These tickets were always the hard cardboard ones as well.
