We are going on to Disney World and I had two quick questions? What is the best weather app in Orlando for weather warnings. I remember the dis unplugged crew talking about it, I just can not remember the episode. Another question concerns driving from Orlando to Miami. What is the General rule of thumb for driving speed? I drove this route going the speed limit once before and felt like i was holding up traffic. Here in Canada you can generally go 5 mph over without being ticketed. Is that similar in Florida? Thanks!!!

For the weather app, I use Accuweather. It will give you notifications by default.

If you go the speed limit on the Interstates, you will get passed. I'll go the speed limit or do 5 over. Keep in mind, though, that I was once pulled over for doing SIX miles over the speed limit (I got a warning) and my brother-in-law was once ticketed for 10 over on the Interstate.

Where in Canada do you live? I'm in Ontario, and driving 10 kph over the speed limit on the 401 or 407 means you better stick to the right hand lane and be prepared for even fully loaded semis to be passing you.

We drive down to Florida fairly frequently, and our rule of thumb is just to stay with the flow of traffic. Check the speed of the cars with plates of the state you're driving thru. They're the ones who know where the local radar traps usually are. It feels like Floridians prefer to travel like a bat out of hell. If you aren't comfortable driving that fast, keep to the right.
