Hi! I'm new first post.tell me if i'm right please.I gather that renting points can save approx 1/2 off the room rates @WDW vacation resorts. However,it looks like you actually pay more if you rent points & say use them to stay @ the Polynesian,as opposed to the rack rates.Does anybody agree?

I like the Polynesian but I have three son's & a suite @ the Polynesian ,for A week, would be a bit much.Looks like one of your vacation resort properties would be a much better value w/o sacrificing any quality.

Thanks for any & all opinions.Al

DVC is a timeshare so the DVC resorts are all set up to have studio, 1,2,or 3 bedroom vacation VILLAs. These are much more than any suite could possibly be. The include full kitchens, laundry facilities in the room, whirlpool tubs, living rooms etc. If you are renting points, there is no point in renting to stay at anything other than a Home Away from Home. The other DVC resort hotels are trades for us. That is why the points are more for those. As long as you stay in DVC accommodations on DVC points, it is a far better value. Besides, I could no longer go back to stying in hotel rooms like WL, Poly or GF anymore. They seem like a step down to me.
