do you always get a better $$ rate at the airport?i ask this because while i was at heathrow this morning (waiting for my cousin to arrive)i noticed the rate was $1.796 which was better than m&s today

thanks eve::MinnieMo

I was always under the impression that the rate at the airports was lower than you could get at the high street.?????????

MAybe i'm wrong

Giggler:rolleyes:

Hi,
I reckon the rate you saw must have a been a mistake as the current commercial rate is $1.7989 and most high street exchanges are usually at least 5 cents lower than this and in my experience airports are even worse as it is a sellers market there.
There is usually very little to choose between places like M&S , The P.O. and Travelex. Also a Nationwide credit card is a good deal as they don't charge the 2.75% commision that other cards do.

Mick.

You might have read the 'Buy' rate instead! Airport rates are usually less because they know you are in a 'take it or leave it' situation.
