registering online is no guarantee that you will get a PIN, but you are guaranteed NOT to get one if they have no record of you. PINs are totally random.
So here's what I do to get a pin (and it's worked for the past 3 years). I have a Disney account. I log on and "save" a few offers for the dates I want to travel. This year I didn't get a pin right away from doing that. Then last week I ordered a Disney Planning DVD. I answered a bunch of questions, and a couple of days ago I received a pin code! It wasn't for free dining, but it's a good start. I can book now and if free dining is offered, I can switch. Good luck
Thank you both! I understood that it is not a guaranteed thing and I have ordered maps, dvd, saved offers, etc...I just wanted to be sure that is the way to get into the system.(being that I haven't been to WDW as an adult)...so that if I wanted to call and check to see "if" I might have a pin number associated with my name that I would be in their system even though I have made no prior reservations. Hope I'm not being too confusing!!!
