quick question

What is photopass? I have seen threads posted abot it but I don't know what it is? I tend to think it is a way to get special priviledges but then again think it is just photos in each park??????

At the parks, there are CM's who take photos. I think we'll be given a card to scan all week. Then when you get home, you can go online and buy photos and maybe even email them. (not sure, I'm learning about this too). I understand buying the photos on-line is expensive.

Some families purchase the CD containing all photos before coming home. It does not include photos taken while on rides.

we did this i thought it was great i only wish we would have used it more often........ there are cm's in each park and you give him your photopass card and they take your pic and then scan your card.... i forgot my card one day so i ended up with 3 cards and the last day of our stay we went to toon town at MK and they combined all 3 of my cards and i purchased the cd with a paper of the copy rights and they even put little extras in my pics like the one in my sig. the man at MK told us all to point to the ground and look suprised so we did and i did not know what they were going to do untill the last day of vacation but it turned out cute...... it is 99.00 no matter how many pics they take.... i hear you can have up to 300 pics.... i would definatly use it again and more often...... vicki

The very FIRST time you and your family hits ANY park at all, you will see CM's dressed up with camera gear. Ask them to take your picture IF they do not approach you. Just go right up to them and they are all very accommodating each and everyone of them. They will take your picture, from everyone to single shots. YUP, and if it is your FIRST photos of your trip the CM's will hand you the PHOTOPASS card right there. You then carry that all week long and in every single PARK you go to AS MANY CM's that you see all day long, ASK them to take your picture.

LOAD UP THAT CARD. LOAD IT UP!!! You can have your picture taken 50x that day in EACH PARK until the PASS is full. Have the CM's take your kids ALONE, then you and your spouse. ETC ETC.

NOW for developing: this is TRICKY. If you were to LOAD that pass up, you can go to EPCOT, MICKEY'S TOON TOWN or the GF and have them make a CD of the PHOTOS. They will give you a WAIVER/RELEASE for you to go to any photo facility(CVS, WALMART, WALGREENS, COSTCO) in your hometown to have the pictures developed very reasonably. YUP, get that RELEASE. Now the CD runs about $99.00!

Now one other IMPORTANT FACTOR, on the back of the PHOTOPASS is an acct #. If you have access to a laptop, each evening when you get back to your Resort you can enter the WDW PHOTOPASS website and download the # and see all the pictures that were taken that day.

IF you opt to buy them from the WDW site they are very $$$$, I think ONE 5x7 is $13.00 (YUP, one)! With the Photopass you can have your CVS make the photos 4x6. With WDW it is ONLY 5x7!!!
