Quick Question regarding Online Checkin

I have read all of the threads regarding this process and it seems mostly posititve.

I looked at the process but I didn't see where certain requests could be made, there only seemed to be 4 choices: near transportation, ground floor, Refridgerator, Pack N Play play yard. There is no other area to type in any other type of request yet I have seen many threads where certain locations have been requested.

How is this being accomplished using online check in? We currently have reservations at OKW near the Hospitality House on our original information that was sent when we made the reservations. If I use online check in, will I risk losing the location? We have always tried to get this location and this is the first time it was ever given to us when making reservations.

When I try to start the online process, it is not noted anywhere that our original reservations have that location specified.

Should I go ahead on take the chance using online checkin?

Suggestions?
 
I just used online check-in about two weeks ago. I had to call into MS to add my special requests. They said they were were working on enhancing the website so we could add our requests in the future.
 
I believe that near HH is now a booking category and no longer a request. If it is on your reservation, then you should be all set.

The online check in system was really designed for regular hotel guests and thus the categories you see.

For all others, you have to be sure MS has the information and it will be sent to the resort.

We have done online check in for all our DVC reservations and every time, the resort had the requests I had made. Matter of fact, the sticker on my Welcome Home folder said "check requests". We have not gotten all of them, but did for this summer's trip.

If you are unsure about what you have, give MS a call but I think you would be safe with online check in.

We have never used this process before but it seems really great and I am anxious to try it.

Yes, I just called and they did confirm that near HH is definitely a booking category now and no longer a request....have no idea when that changed or didn't pay attention. MS said using online will not affect it at all.

My first trip as a DVC owner is in 3 weeks. Do I get any booklet or package when I get there?:banana:
 
Another question - Will the packet include the vehicle paper or do I still need to get that from the front desk? We will have two cars on this trip so we need to have those.
