quick question need answer now

I need to add a day to a reservation since I'm able to go a day early. When I check the hotels available my current hotel room is not available. When I click change reservation and add the extra day to my reservation its letting me, but if I try to change the room type within the hotel it's showing all rooms as unavailable. If I process this change of adding an extra day will it screw up my reservation since there isn't a room showing as available for this night? It would be great to stay in the same room, but I don't want to show up and have no room available. I need to book this within the next couple minutes so need to decide quick

Is the current room type showing up available? It sounds like some sort of glitch in the system.

It is letting me change the date of the stay and not have to pick a room, which there are none available when I change the room type. Just worried I'll get there are there won't be any room. It was for a one night stay changing to two so it'll be a lot for two days, but I think it might be the safest way to make sure I actually have a room

I would just call and have them do it for you. Whenever I am in doubt and don't want to take a risk I just call and see what they can do for me.

Availability varies based on length of stay. It seems to be their booking program trying not to leave "orphan" rooms. So you may see nothing available when looking for a new one-night booking because the system wants the available rooms to be part of a longer stay, not because the resort is fully booked.
