quick question - can I send a shoe box via usps without wrapping it up in brown paper

Or do I need an outer layer of brown paper around the shoe box? The shoe box is sturdy and has lots of tape on it.

Yes, you can. The only boxes that HAVE to be wrapped are those that have alcohol or corrosive words/pictures/labels (like household cleaners, etc). A shoe box that is taped good is fine - I've done it MANY times!

You don't need brown paper. Just tape it really good and a label.

thanks the post office closes soon and I want to have it all tapped up before I head over there. I knew I would find some great advice on here.
