Just got another $25 Amazon gift card in the mail (from my bank rewards debit card) that I wanted to use for a couple of books.. However, the books are either new or used - not being sold by Amazon itself (as in their stock) - but do qualify for Amazon free shipping.. Can I use the gift card that way - or do I have to buy the books new - through Amazon itself?

Did that make any sense?

Thanks..:)

Makes perfect sense, I've used gift cards to buy from "other" sellers on Amazon. It's never been a problem. :)

Oh yes it will work just fine.

Interesting (to me) note: when it qualifies for free amazon shipping, that means the seller has sent their stock to amazon, and amazon is actually sending it to you. :) And when we pay for things, we pay amazon and amazon pays the seller (even when it's not shipped from an amazon warehouse). That's why we can use GCs for things not sold directly by amazon! :)

Ditto. no problems here either.

I have noticed that if you dont use the whole amount your card will still read as empty. Amazon keeps the credit on your account until you come back.

Thanks for the responses.. When I went back to my cart to actually order the items all but one had dropped in price, so it worked out well - asking about it here first..:thumbsup2

Have a nice weekend! :goodvibes
