Just a quick question:

What is the setting like for Ohanas? I've always envisioned it being an outdoor type of setting. Is that correct?

I ask because I'm trying to set up ADRs for a winter trip and I don't want to freeze my buns off.

Thanks

No Way. I'm not even sure if they offer outdoor seating. All inside, and fabulous! Be sure to come with an appetitite! And if you're lucky, you can sit next to the window where you can see the castle - and maybe even some fireworks!

You do not want to miss Ohana. It is probably my favorite restaurant at disney. If you sit by the window you can see the MK. You get so much food!! Be sure to go hungry!! You also get to see the Polynesian Resort, which is beautiful. Have fun!:)

It is indoors, a lot of tables, but not crowded close together. Some tables are near windows, some closer to the ovens where they cook the meats.

There is a lot of action here - a woman entertains with music and games for the kids like Coconut Races and parades around the restaurant.

The food is amazing so make sure you are HUNGRY and pace yourself! There is A LOT to eat.

And save room for dessert!

Love it there!

I'm really looking forward to trying this on our next trip based on the recommendation of a friend. It's going to be our "arrival night" meal.

Be sure to arrive hungry! They will keep bringing out the food as long as you ask for it. But be sure to save room for the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding, it's sinful! :)

For 'Ohana? We concider dinner a must do each trip, and we average about two or more trips a year. We have only had breakfast there once, right when it changed over to Lilo and Stitch in October '04. Back then it was so much easier to get ADRs. I know I was able to get dinner reservations for both Jan 2 & Jan 3 a few weeks back. They fill up so quickly, although we generally try to eat there early so that the food can digest. Also, call the 800 # 800-828-0228 and hit option 3 for dining. DIdn't know if you knew about that, save you a few $$ unless you have free long distance.
