Quick question about my plan for our first morning at DL

Right now I have planned to get to the gates of DL early on Sunday, July 20. We will head to Indy. I was planning on getting a FP and heading to BTMRR, but should we go ahead and ride Indy first thing and then just head to BTMRR. My dh doesn't want to ride BTMRR, so he can FP either Space or Star Tours for us while we head to BTMRR. Then we were going to ride Pirates and Haunted Mansion before getting a Splash FP (or should we just ride Splash at that time and maybe get a FP later on for later in the day too?) So, basically I need to know if you would ride or FP Indy first thing in the morning and if you would ride or FP Splash after POTC and Haunted Mansion.

If you are there at rope drop, I would suggest stand by for IJA, BTMRR and Splash. When I am there at rope drop, Adventureland/Fronteirland are pretty empty for a while since most head to Fantasyland.

I picked going that way first because we can all ride almost all of those rides. We'd like to do Star Tours, Space Mountain and Autopia but my dh, dd, mom and cousin won't do Space Mountain and some people also won't do Star Tours. I figured those would be easier to get a FP for. Does that seem ok?

When I went last July, Splash was usually a walk on in the morning. We rode at 9am and they were sending down empty boats/logs. When we came back to unload, there were hardly any people waiting in line so they let us go around a second time. Also, if you get a FP for splash early in the morning, your window is going to be in about 30 minutes, so it's kind of a waste of a FP.

Go early. Like rope drop early. If your planning on doing to Frozen M&G, go to that first, expect a line. Get major FP like Indy, Space, BTMRR. Obviously you can't get them all at once since the times will overlap. So I then like to go to DCA for FP to RSR then Tower of Terror. If you need to kill time between FP's, take this chance to slow down, get coffee or breakfast. Walk around to rides with short wait times, use your FPs when your time comes and I'm sure you'll be done with almost everything by 5pm.

I did this for a first whom was a first timer. He said he would only go if he had the full experience. We went to the park around 7:45am and left at 12 midnight. He wanted to stay for Mad T party. We pretty much got on all the rides, had plenty of time just to relax, eat and sight see.

I'd grab an Indy fp, go on splash, potc, hmm go get a big thunder fp, ur window will be open then, do Indy, jungle cruise or whatever else is left on that side. Then go attack somewhere else. This is our usual plan & we always get in all the rides we want.

Usually if start on that side of the park, we ride Indy SB, BTMRR, Splash , Pooh HM and pirates in that order.

If we start on the other side... Space, Matterhorn, BTMRR, splash, pooh, grab Indy fastpass, HM and pirates.

Indy is a good choice early on as it tends to break down later on and takes some time to get up and running
