My friend who works in Disney booked us a room at the all star sports resort. of course we are going to use the ME, but we are not checking our bags. My other friend and I just have our carry on's since we are only going for a few days. Also the plane lands at like 9:30 PM so by the time we get off and everything, it will prob be past 10:00 anyway. After we arrive at the airport, do we just go right to the bus stop or do we have to go to the desk? I wont have any papers with me since my friend only booked it last week(she said everything will be fine) but I just wanna make sure. We will only be riding the bus which I know is fine but I just wanna make sure I won't need any paper work. Thanks!

Regardless of the circumstances, Everyone should go to the desk unless specifically told not to by an ME employee.

Since you will not have paperwork, you will be required to go to the desk.

Yep, just go to the desk and check in. The bus stop is right next to the desk and you will be directed to the correct line after checking in.

You (or your friend) must explicitly and proactively book a reservation each way as desired with Magical Express in advance. Just booking the resort room isn't enough.

Going to Disney it doesn't matter if you show up early or late (report there as quickly as you can if you arrive after 10 PM).

Going home, you must catch a specifically reserved bus, being ready 15 minutes before its time. If the paper confirming same is not at your room door the morning before, go get it early on that day before checkout, down at the front desk.

My friend DID book the ME when she booked the room. we will be there after 10 pm so they cant check our luggage anyway

You cannot board the bus without the paperwork/vouchers. So if you have not recieved the vouchers in the mail because you just booked the reservation, then you must go and check in. The bus drivers require the vouchers, they won't let you board without it.

The desk will print you new vouchers.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but this is my first time booking a room-only ressie with the DME and just wanted to clarify something.

I added the DME to our room-only reservation about a week ago (3 weeks prior to our trip). Is that long enough that I will still be able to get paperwork in the mail and if not, what do I need to provide the DME desk with as "proof" that we're going to a Disney resort? My resort ressie #?

Thanks!

They should just be able to look you up in their system by your name. That is what happened when I was over efficient in my packing and packed all my DME paperwork, in my checked luggage...DUH!!
I would bring your resort reservation number just in case though. The other thing I would do is to call DME a few days before you are due to depart...just to make sure they have you in the system. I always recommend doing this if you haven't gotten your info packet a month before travel or if you don't have enough time to get the packet.

Thank you!! :worship:

I had a little moment of freak out about what if we didn't receive our paperwork (which really doesn't matter since we're doing carry-on only, so I don't need tags). I feel much better now! I'll make it a point to call the weekend before we leave to confirm.

Thanks again! :goodvibes

thanks guys, i appreciate it. i checked in online on the disney site and made sure i had the ME and I put my flight info and stuff. I'll make sure to go to the desk when I get there to check in!

At first i dont want to say much thing in this matter. it is a very crucial one. It is better that you find the solution by yourself.
