Quick Question about Disney Gift Cards

I think this has been answered before but I can't find it in any thread - when we get down to Disney World - the CM at the hotel should be able to combine all of my gift cards onto one gift card, correct? Is that right?

I've been cashing in My Points and bought a couple on the Meijer deal and have a bunch of different gift cards saved up. I don't want to have to keep track of the balance on each one so it would be much easier to combine them into one. Sorry if this is a repeat! Thanks!

I would like to know the answer to this question as well! I called the Disney Store and the lady there said no, but I'm hoping they can do it at the World. I'm staying off property so if someone knows if you can do it in parks please let me know.

You could just add $$ to an exsisting Disney GC ~ I add $$ to my Disney Gift Cards by calling DelivEARS ~800-362-4533 *you give the CM your credit/debit card info and they mail you the receipt. Last time I did this *a couple months ago* the $$ was on the GC the next day.

I'm not sure this is what OP meant. It appeared to me, and I could have been wrong, that she was using rewards programs to either cash in FOR Disney cards or to cash in for other stores and using their GC to buy a Disney GC. So she isn't just shelling out $25 here and $100 there, she is collecting the cards from various sources. So then she wants to combine all the little cards onto one bigger card when she gets there.

Yes - that is what I meant - I have about $500 total in Disney gift cards but the $500 is on about 8 different cards. I've gotten gift cards through My Points by getting Walgreen gift cards and then purchasing Disney gift cards and then I've bought a couple through the Meijer promotion which has to be done by purchasing $25 at a time. I've also received a couple as gifts. I was wondering if they could combine all of them individual cards onto one card.

I don't know if they can do this, but I've taken several GCs to Disneyland before.

1, only use one at a time.

2, wrap the receipt around it...the receipts have the running total of the GC on it (and at DLR, if you get a good CM, they'll circle it for you before handing it back).

3, don't keep them all in the same place...both for security purposes and for confusion purposes...keep the ones being used separate.

4, if you have a sharpie on you for autographs, you can write the balance on each...

5, or if you have those post-it strips that you can stick to the back, you can keep track with just a normal pen.

I took a bunch of gift cards when we went this August. I just charged to my room key and paid it off every few days with the gift cards. It works better for me that way, no extra cards to carry around.

I have asked this question in several locations...
....I called the 800 number on the back of the gift card...
....I asked a CM at the Disney Store...
....I asked a CM at a gift shop at my Disney resort....
....and I asked the front desk at the Animal Kingdom Lodge...

...all said the same thing...

Multiple gift cards cannot be merged onto one card, but you can use multiple gift cards for one transaction.

I use two alternatives. I will either save up the cash and add it to an existing card when I get there, or I will do as a PP said and have them add all of my gift cards to my room account and use my KTTW card.

I had a bunch of $15 cards *Kroger deal around Easter this year* for DD's B-day trip this past July, we just used one or more at a time.

Thanks everyone! I guess I'll charge to my room key and pay it off with the gift cards or else carry them around. We'll have wi-fi so I can always check the balance each night if I need to.
