Quick question about animals at AKL

Quick question about animals at AKL, when are they put to bed, ie when's the latest time to view them from the public viewing area?

I'd like to make a dinner reservation at Boma and would like to stop by to look at them before we eat. I dont mind eating early if they're still out before 7pm

We saw several animals outside after our 7:15pm Jiko ADR last night. We stayed at AKL, so we didn't go straight from dinner to the viewing area - it was approximately 9pm when we were out there.

the "night vision goggles" activity usually runs from 9-11 pm so i suspect they will stay out till late at night.

Quick question about animals at AKL, when are they put to bed, ...

They don't have a bedtime - they get to stay up all night Joking aside,
the animals are brought into their barns for an hour or so in the morning each day to be fed, but otherwise remain on their savannah 24/7 as this is how they would live in the wild. I'm not sure how late the CM stays out by the pool viewing area with the night vision goggles (9 or 10 pm?) but you should have no problem seeing animals before a 7 pm dinner reservation. We saw zebras, antelope and giraffes drift by our balcony on their way to the pond below at all hours.

if it is really cold (dec-feb), some of the animals head for the heated barns, and have feeding times in the morning...but generally, yeah, they stay outside for the most part.

I know this for a fact, the animals are on the savannah 23 hours a day. They go "in" for 1 hour for a quick check-up and to be given vitamins.
