Last weekend we went for a quick trip so we could take the kids to the Mardi Gras parade. We had originally booked at Hard Rock, but on the drive down, we decided the theming didn't really appeal to us much, so we called and were able to switch to Portofino Bay (plus we actually saved $10).
We checked in early Sat morning and I was given the choice of a room that was available but far from the main lobby or a closer room that would be ready later. Since we were headed to the park, we opted for the closer room. I also mentioned the Loews YouFirst program (we've stayed at RPR before) and was offered a complimentary upgrade to a water view room, which was nice.
The room was really nice, and the bathroom was huge! We really liked the view of the waterfront and the resort itself was fabulous! We were a little concerned about the distance to the park, but we used the boat several times and really enjoyed it.
Overall it was a really nice stay and we're looking forward to going back!
