Put some ground beef in a bowl. Add sausage if you want. Squirt in some ketchup or barbecue sauce. Add an egg or two. Dump in some bread crumbs. Squish it all together with your hands. If it's too dry add more ketchup. If it's too wet add more bread crumbs. Bake it until it's brown all the way through.
Not much help, I'm afraid, but that's the way I do it. Oh, and I do it in a 9X9 pan instead of a loaf pan because it cooks faster.
heres what I do:
1-1/2 lbs ground beef
1/2 packet lipton onion soup mix ( optional)
1 beaten egg
3/4 cup oatmeal ( not instant) or breadcrumbs if no oatmeal around
3 TBSP AI or any other staek sauce
salt/pepper
I like to use broiled staek seasoning, again optional
mix together well,
spray meatloaf pan w/PAM or other non=stick spray
afetr shaping meatloaf, score and squiggle ketchup on th etop
bake @ 350 for 1/2 hour ot 45 minutes depending on amount of meat used
let sit about 5 minutes before slicing
ground beef, or turkey, 2 eggs, chopped onion, splash worchester sauce, splash milk, pulled apart bread peices, salt and pepper, can of diced tomatoes. top with ketchup if you want.
I make mine into mini loaves, or make it in a rectangle pan.
